Love Ladder - FF's Relationship game!

FF Love Ladder Logo

Fertility treatment can put any relationship to the test - even some of the strongest bonds find it hard to survive the torture that tx puts us through. We have thought about this and think we have found a way to help spice up the day to day drag of infertility.

Over the coming weeks, we will be issuing challenges to members - each challenge will be a step on our love ladder. The bottom steps will be very simple (but fun) and the top of the ladder will be some pretty hot challenges.
The challenges have been designed to not only spice up your relationship - but also to help develop it and learn about each other.

Challenges include a mixture of things including Soul diving, inquisition, race to romance, creative writing, cuddles - kisses and giggles plus lots more.

Invitation to discuss the HFEA Guide to Infertility
Friday, 09 November 2007
The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) is in the process of reviewing its Guide to Infertility, written for people who are having, or considering, fertility treatment.  The HFEA has asked Opinion Leader to hold some group discussions with people who may use this guide to assist with the development of their next publication.

If you have used the HFEA Guide to Infertility, or may do so at some point in the future, this is your chance to tell us what you think about it - how you think it should look and what information it should contain.

We are looking for participants to attend one of two group discussions to be held in London on Thursday 22nd November.  Each session will last two hours.

Lunch will be provided for all participants and you will receive £40 to thank you for your time.  Your travel expenses will be reimbursed after the discussion groups. Everything you say will be treated confidentially.

If you are interested in taking part in one of the groups and are available on 22nd November, please email your name and telephone number to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , telling us a little about what stage of treatment you are at; for example, if you are currently undergoing treatment, looking at treatment options or considering treatment in the future.

We will then contact you to ask you to complete a short demographic questionnaire and give you more details about the research. We will not contact you for any other reason, or pass your details to any other company.

Please note: we would like to get a mix of people by gender, age and ethnicity so not everyone who applies will be selected.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Jean Ledger

HFEA Statement on HFEA Chair
Wednesday, 17 October 2007
HFEA LogoFollowing the Government's announcement that the establishment of a single Regulatory Body for Tissue and Embryos (RATE) is not to go ahead, Shirley Harrison has decided to step down as Chair of the HFEA as of 1 November 2007, but will remain as Chair of the Human Tissue Authority (HTA).

Walter Merricks CBE, a current HFEA member, will take over as interim Chair of the HFEA, pending the appointment of a new Chair by the NHS Appointments Commission. Shirley Harrison said:

"I have decided to step down as Chair of the HFEA as I feel that, given the Government's recent announcement, there is no longer a rationale for one person to chair both authorities.

"I am pleased to have had the opportunity to lead the Authority during a period when a number of controversial and challenging issues attracting much public interest have been addressed."
