Open Meeting. Members of the public are invited to attend the
February Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority meeting as
observers. The meeting will be held at a central London location
on the afternoon of 8 February, with an opportunity to meet the
Authority members informally afterwards. Details of the venue,

Following
the launch in January of the HFEA's public consultation on the ‘Welfare
of the Child Assessment' guidance given to clinics, the HFEA is holding
three consultative meetings. These are an opportunity for
professionals working in fertility clinics, GPs, counsellors, patients,
former patients, social workers and any other interested parties to
discuss the ethical and practical aspects of these assessments.
There are three afternoon events: in Glasgow (23 February),
London (8 March) and Manchester (22 March). Further details and

Annual Conference. An all-day event at a central London
venue. Among the topics for discussion are changes anticipated in
the field of assisted reproduction, including those on the scientific
horizon and to legislation, as well as hearing more about patients'
perspectives, and about safety in practice. There will be a
