Hi Ladies,
I too have been reading this thread for a while now and not written anything.

We visited Serum and the lovely Penny last Monday and some how went for a consultation and left with 3 blastocysts (double donor) onboard.... My natural cycle was the right timing and my hormone levels were great and they happened to have double donor blastocysts that they were just about to freeze.  We really thought it was all meant to be but sadly I did a test yesterday and it was negative and now bleeding.   Sorry for those on their 2ww, I am sure you will have better luck then us, this seems to be our luck.

Do you know if it is common to have dd not work and then work other times?

Also we stayed in the Crowne Plaza which was lovely and was 129 euros with breakfast and and free wifi and not far from the clinic - just in case anyone is looking for hotel

I have had hidden C but that tested negative after treatment, I also have immune issues (still after a year of being clear of hidden c).

I wish everyone on the 2ww all the luck in the world and I would love to hear some good news to give me hope... it's slowing fading.

Sorry for the long message, I am having one of those days.

x

Miss Piggy - so sorry to hear of your negative test, I hope you and your DH are doing ok.  There are many ladies who are now on the pregnancy/parenting board who have had several goes with double donor and have had success so yes, it can happen.  Sometimes even with perfect embryos and perfect lining/hormones it still doesn't work but it doesn't mean it never will so if you are able to then I hope you are able to try again soon.  You are in the best hands with Penny  :)  Take care hon,  ^hugme^ ^hugme^

Vicki - good luck for ET tomorrow - your flying visit definitely won't effect your chances.  I hope everything goes smoothly,  ^hugme^ ^pray^

Minkey - glad you managed to eventually sort your phone nightmare out.  Sounds like the lovely serum girls rallied round which is great.  So sorry this happened but try to forget about it and concentrate on your lovely embies,  ^hugme^ ^hugme^

lieve: that sounds like the sort of gel I was using - a lactic acid based acidity gel.
Perfect! Then I dont need to look further. Could I just put it up there with my fingers or do you really need an applicator?

I think Ckay means that some of the US pharmacies make viagra pessaries as a special order - but they only accept US px's.  they are different to the cream sold by John because they are in a solid base (PEG) that dissolves in the vaginal fluids whereas the cream is sildenafil dissolved in a gel/cream.  i don't know the dose or the formula of the cream.  John doesn't seem to need a px to sell it to you.
Ah I see, unfortunately i am not able to get a hold of US meds. Do you happen to know the dose of the pills that is recommended, though? And how long does Penny usually tell you to use it for?

Cheers  :)

yes... I put everything I knew about it in the Lining Issues bit of my faq.   I used the method I described in there - using an applicator etc.

penny says she thinks that the cream is probably more effective though because it doesn't contain the oral excipients that are in the viagra tablets.... and I don't think it would work out all that much cheaper to use crushed tablets because the tabs are v expensive.   I THINK penny likes to use 100mg twice a day?  Its all getting a bit fuzzy in my mind but now I've used up my tablets I'm going to go with the cream next time and am waiting for my package from john.

Thank you rmbps, I am just having one of those days. It's amazing how penny makes you feel so comfortable and you trust her to get it right. I have had 6 goes at ARGC and I always thought they were great but there is no comparison now to Serum/Penny

I have enjoyed reading this thread as you all know do much and are so helpful and friendly.

Evening All

Its official - I am an xbox widow! So I have decided to come and say hello to everyone.

Loulah - the wifi in the hotel was excellent.

Lieve - I arranged a payment to John Bowen today - he basically gives you the price of what you require then sends you a sheet with his bank details on.  I did get a bit confused as he gave me the price in Euros but I just converted it into GBP and went to my bank and asked them to transfer the amount from my account to his account in Singapore.  They charged me £25 for the pleasure but at least I know he will receive it and it has been a "safe" transaction.  Apparently paypal do money transfers for free but I think, please don't quote me, John has to also have a paypal account too.

I was chatting to my mum today about egg transfer etc and she seems to think that you need to lay down for however many hours after because gravity will take over and they may not implant  ::)  makes me wonder how I ever came to be. Bless her! I also showed her my hysto dvd and she nearly passed out.  I have to agree though it is pretty  :P .

Hi to everyone else.

RooRoo xx

Roo, I suppose when you do things the natural way, you do the BMs and then fall asleep ;D  so youre lying down for a while...

By the way, Paypal is free for the person sending money but the person receiving it loses about 5% unless you send it as gift or personal payment in which case you pay the fees and the other person gets the full amount.  And yes, the other person has to have a paypal account, or at least, open one, to get the money.
