Morning ladies,
This is more like it! Let's keep this chat going
Fancy - thanks for doing the doodle. Think I'm going to miss this one for obvious reasons, but promise to make the next one with bells on!
Kerry - So sorry about your doggy. I hope he makes a speedy recovery
. On your other point, that is exactly what this forum should be (and at its best does so well): no matter how supportive our DH's/Friends/Family are, when it comes down to it they just don't get what we're going through and also there is a limit to how much IF chat they have a tollerance for. I have made some fantastic genuine friends through this board who I will stay in touch with even once we crack this nut (
): welcome to the family
Incidentally, it doesn't matter whether you're IUI, IVF, ICSI, Investigations - we're all on this rollercoaster together. PS: the doodle is a calendar thingy to help pick a date for us all to meet up: everyone welcome!
JuJu - thank you for sharing the other side of the story: I was mindful that all the veterans had posted our views but it's really good to understand things from the point of view of someone newer to the forum. Please don't feel like you're intruding by commenting on things we write - that's how you'll get to know us all better and if we didn't want it discussed we wouldn't post it on here. Even if you don't have much to offer in terms of our questions, a hello goes a long way
And please don't feel like you can't ask questions - we've all asked our fair share at one point or another!
Schnoodle - good to see you back, but sorry to hear your illness has flared up. Don't feel like a fraud for posting when you're not going through treatment - this journey doesn't stop just because we're not cycling and this is an emotional support group as much as it is for sharing information.
Sniff - I'm well jel that you have been buying your nursery furniture, but knowing what it took to get you to where you are now, you have more than earned the pleasure! Enjoy every step
Caroline - glad you're feeling chilled out this cycle: I hope it leads to good things
Jennie - you need to take one of those shooting pole seat things to the concerts - set up your own little area to watch from!
Shaz - thanks for the info on getting my notes: I'll definitely get things moving while I'm back next week.
Fran - You're never too old for Easter eggs! DH was showing me my haul (from his mum, not mine!) on Skype on Sunday! At least I know now if stocks are depleted when I return...
Kirsy - Happy holidays
Hi to Skatz, Tatty, Lou, UTB, Baby, SarahJaney and anyone not mentioned personally
Willowstar, Catlady, Meggy (and any of the newer ladies I've missed): please don't be put off posting by our comments over the last few days - it's nice to have so many new people join, especially as so many regulars got BFPs at the end of last year so things have been quiet. But also (as I said to JuJu above) please don't feel like you can't join in the chat with those of us who've been here for a bit longer - that's the best way to get to know everyone and (in my experience) it pays dividends when you do
Also - the doodle that Fancy mentioned is to organise a meet up: last year we met up for tea about once a month - everyone is welcome - and as I think Caroline said, its lovely once you've met people to put a face to all the names. I was relieved after the first one that I went to that everyone was 'normal' (well, most people
) and it was just like a fun girls night out.
