Morning all
Bubblicious, your girls are so pretty, lovely pics  :)

Mandy - poor you and your sore throat, hope you feel better soon  ^hugme^

Yaya - sorry to hear about your mil, its rotten for you and dh  ^hugme^

Liz - Yes I heard that the pavements are cleared all the time which is a relief. Unfortunately I heard from a friend the other day who lives in NY that he slipped on an icy pavement and hurt his wrist really badly, so I'm still a little anxious!! Am sure I'll be fine, and yes my boots are waterproof, we'll they were fine before in several feet of snow so I'm hoping they'll be ok. I'm really looking forward to going, NY in the snow is amazing. I'm not sure how I'll deal with my allotment over the next year or so. We put in some new raspberry canes on Saturday and while I didn't do anything like digging, it made my back ache and I had to go straight to bed as soon as we got home for a nap! We'll see anyway, maybe I can ask some friends to help me. Keeping it is important to me as its like my refuge, somewhere where I can go to escape, but I have to be practical about it, if its too much work then I'll have to let it go.

Afm, I was weirdly emotional yesterday evening, I did some crazy crying for no reason and then got a really bad headache which made me cry even more! Dh had to put me to bed at 7.30pm as I was inconsolable and sobbing! I ended up sleeping until 11.30pm then was awake until about 2am. Silly me. Looking back it was quite funny but at the time I was so upset. Weird pregnancy hormones...

Hope everyone is ok, sorry for no more personals, I've so much to do today before we go tomorrow morning.

xx

Hope everyone is ok :)

T-Star Hope you feeling better today ^hugme^

Mandy Hope you throat feels better soon ^hugme^ Glad you got your moses basket bargain :) Glad you enjoyed your pink clothes shopping :)

LizE I got my moses basket mattress from Mothercare, they also do different sizes :)

LaurenHall Great bargains! Enjoy your shopping ;D one of each thats great :)

Yaya Your mil sounds like mine, sending you lots of ^hugme^ I think it could be a jealousy thing ^hugme^

KandyKane Glad you re feeling better and well done on the ebay bargains :)

Daxcat Hope you are ok? ^hugme^

Hazel Did you decide on the pushchair? I would only buy it if it is what you wanted and don t feel pressured into anything ^hugme^

Everyone else :)

Well we went pushchair shopping again! DH discovered the only independent baby shop within a 30 mile radius, so we went there on Saturday and with huge relief had several I had been looking at on the internet, so it was nice to be able to try them out/fold them etc and rule some out as the carrycot was too heavy. I have narrowed down the list to either the Babystyle Oyster or Britax BSmart 4. Just not sure which one to go for

lots of love to everyone xxxx

Hey ladies,

Hope you are all well.
Went to work today and my pains got worse, also wiped and had tiny amount of blood. I didnt freak and just thought its normal, but rang MW who said as I have bloods on thurs go home rest and wait till then to be seen  like heck was I, I have come home and my lovely GP will see me. I used the doppler when I got home - havent for a good few days - and found hb quickly and it was lovely and strong at 151-154 bpm. Although beanie is on the move the lot and i had to follow with probe  ;D it stayed good and steady so that reassured me.

Bubs - Stunning pics hun  :) and thanks for advice  ^hugme^

Kandy - Hope your pains are ok hun. Mine are real low down in the pelvis area, I had some a little higher last week, whcih I put down to ligaments and stretching as in the right place, but this is very low down and hurts more when I get a full bladder. Am going to ask about possible UTI. Hope yours are just stretches hun  ^hugme^

Liz - Just as you explained is how it feels, but cant feel anything as too early I guess but maybe it could be bubba pushing down, I hope so, why is everything so scary?  :'(
Canada I am jealous, would love to go. Can they take me?  ;D

T Star - I was exactly like that too, except I also bit dh's head off and over reacted to EVERYTHING  ;D was so glad when it passed  :) Hope you feel better today.

Sue

Sue - Thinking of you, get your feet up and have a good rest! maybe it's babba telling you he/she doesn't want you to go to work? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sending a universe of  ^hugme^ ^hugme^ ^hugme^ ^hugme^ ^hugme^ ^hugme^

Well i went to the Dr about my throat, no antibiotics just advised to take paracetamol  :( she said don't try and be brave, take them regularly for 24 hours  :-\ I think I may just settle for a few tubs of ice cream instead, would make me feel so much better than paracetamol  ;D

DH has just called and told me to have a look for a holiday for the half term  ^banana^ oooh i'm thinking he has won the lottery and not told me  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hope you all have a lovely morning!

Lots of love and kind wishes

Mandy xxxxx  ^hugme^ ^hugme^ ^hugme^ ^hugme^ ^hugme^

Hi ladies, sorry for my absence, I've been hiding under the duvet and trying not to think about baby related things!

Bubblicious  - lovely photos, you look really happy and the beach looks wonderful. We haven't been for years but have booked a night by the sea for my birthday - can't wait!!! Congratulations on your milestone, I can't wait to get to 28 weeks, we do get to 24 weeks tommorow though - we're thinking of getting a cake and icing "happy viability day" on it!  ;D

Mandy - a holiday sounds lovely, where are you thinking of? Hope your throat gets better soon.XXX

Sue - I hope the bleeding stops for you. It's great that you heard LO and had to keep chasing the hb around - means he's moving well. XXX

Pooh bear - glad you're getting there with the pushchair. Thats exactly what DH and I did - I researched it loads on the internet then found a shop that stocked the ones we were interested in and tried them. It's amazing the difference in manouverability and weight! XXX

Kandy - Glad that your finances are getting sorted out. I've searched all over google and the only health risk I can find to do with the garra fish pedicure is the possibility of fungal foot infections like athletes foot. However it does go on to say that any decent establishment will clean peoples feet first!! Theres no mention of blood poisoning, the fish don't break the skin as they don't have teeth. DH and I are having a garra pedicure to kick off our valentines pampering day at champneys sp I think you can relax and enjoy it! X

LizE -sorry you didn't get your moses basket again. Hope you get the sheet changed soon, I have the same problem - our mattress is so heavy I just can't lift it! XXX

Laurenhall - that tesco bouncer sounds great - I'll have to have a look as there was one in toys r us I really wanted thats half price at £25 but it's been "out of stock" since before Christmas. I'm pretty sure it'll be back in stock when it goes back up to full price!

Squidgely - sorry you're still being sick, I hope it eases up for you soon. XXX

Yaya - how shocking of your MIL to behave like that! I' m sorry you had to suffer that. What an insensitive woman! How she could attack her own son like that saying he'd be a rubbish father is awful, thank god you and he have each other. XXX

Hazel - I'm thrilled fo ryou that you felt your LO from the outside. It's the most wonderful feeling isn't it! How lovely to have an antique cot. X

Glamis - Sounds great to be sorting out all the baby things ready for the new arrival. Sounds like you could do with a nap!!!! Thanks for thinking of meXXXXXX

Smallredsocks - I'm so relieved to hear someone else say it's normal to not enjoy being pregnant! I adore feeling LO move but most of it is pretty miserable! I wouldn't swap it for the world mind you, but I've been wondering whats wrong with me that I'm not enjoying the physical side of being pg at all! Thanks for the reassurance. XXX

T-star - I'm having the same problem with our garden. We turned half of it into a veg gardena a few years back and grow most of our food in the summer. This year though I just can't do it as bending hurts my tummy too much and if I kneel down my legs swell up so poor DH has been doing it all. Luckily my brother is helping now so he can help DH manure it next week as I am NOT being involved in that!!!! X

Becky - how are you? Have you had your 2nd 3D scan yet? XXX

Someone was asking of ways to make LO move about, apart from the cold water trick, I was advised by a couple of sonographers to have orange juice as the fructose wakes them up and also chocolate. Both can take 30 minutes to work.

Phew! Sorry to miss so many, love and big hugs to you all.
We had LO's new scan and MRI on Friday, spent 8 hours at the hospital in the end and was so tired by the time we got home.
The scan showed that he was growing well which was a concern due to the placenta issue. He's about a week ahead which they're pleased about. One ventricle had gone down by 1mm and the other had stayed the same but they said the sized don't matter as much as whats caused it.

They've now ruled out everything that could have caused it except genetics but that can't be looked at until after LO is born. It's definately not infection (slapped cheek, pavo, toxoplasmosis etc), my platelets attacking him, chromosonal problems, a brain tumour or any of the other problems they were expecting to find.

They were really surprised that all the tests have come back negative. The awful genetecist woman actually sounded disappointed. His MRI didn't show any tumour and did show that all the structures were there and in the right places. They were quick to say we're not out of the wood by a long shot yet but that if his next MRI at 29 weeks shows that the brain is developing normally then he has a 90% chance of being "normal" and being able to attend normal schools etc. So Friday was the best result it could have been.  :)

As I'm so swollen they did do a cardiac check and that showed diastolic dysfunction which is another marker for pre eclampsia so I'm now to be very carefully monitored. They'll also be scanning reguarly to make sure his head isn't growing too big and the placenta is still working properly.

They are now talking about him being born at other specialist hospitals including one in London depending on how early he arrives and whether I have pre-eclampsia. Hopefully I can get past 32 weeks as they said every week past 32 weeks I get the higher chance there is of giving birth at my local hospital. So 24 weeks tommorow - yay and will be keeping my legs crossed for the foreseeable. Luckily we've bought all the baby bits already and have now collected up some prem baby clothes this weekend so we're ready when he is.

Sorry about the huge post!!! XXXXXXX

this windy weather is not too good i went out to the electric meter to put money on it and nearly got blown away.

#21 ·
shelley - what wonderful news!! things sound much more positive now for your LO, great stuff! sorry about the pre-eclampsia risk, but if they're monitoring you closely then at least you know you will get good care if you need it. Thanks for researching the fish pedicure, I've been looking too and have decided to go ahead - providing I can bring myself to put my feet in without shrieking like a big jessy  ;D

Daxcat - been thinking about you lots and hoping your further tests went well. It seems like things are going well for you lo. Got everything crossed for you that it all continues to go well for you. Love it that you're ready when he is! Great that you're well prepared and have everything that you need for his arrival.
And don't go near that garden! Let your DH take care of it, put your feet up and maybe make him and your brother a cup of tea if they do well with the manure!
Sending you lots of  ^hugme^ ^hugme^ ^hugme^

Kandy - yep, it must be the crazy crying stage eh?! I was properly in floods, with no real explanation. Think my dh was looking at me weirdly thinking that if I was that upset over a bad headache, imagine what I'll be like in labour!!! Hahahaaa!  ;D  Great to hear your financial worries have eased.

Hi all,

Sorry not had much time to post but have been reading. Hope you are all OK.

Daxcat - So glad that everything went as well as it could. Keeping everything crossed for you for the next MRI and that you can make it past 32 week. ^hugme^

Glamis - I have to get all of DD's old clothes out I think I will be surprised how much we have too. ;D to DD sleeping in the moses basket.

Mandy - Sorry to hear you are poorly - hope the ice cream helps ^hugme^ Great news about the hol.

Sue - Sorry you are in pain. Hope everything is OK - take care and rest up.

Pooh bear - We were looking at pushchairs at the weekend too. I am surprised that some have such complicated ways of collapsing them. All got a bit much for me and I had thoroughly had enough and still made no decision. Glad you have been able to narrow it down.

T-star - Been there with the weird crying for no reason. Happened to me when I went out with friends. I felt so silly afterwards.

Smile - ^hugme^

B - Could you please update me to having a girl next time you update. Thanks ^hugme^ done :)

Hello and love to everyone else. Hope everyone is OK. Sorry for no more personals will have to keep up more from now on.

Thanks to all who recommended maternity jeans last week. ^hugme^

I missed two calls from my doctors on Fri and having had bloods done last week I was a little concerned about what was wrong. Anyway they called this morning and my iron levels were a little low so I have just picked up a prescription for iron tablets. They have given me 28 days supply but no instruction on what to do after that. It doesn't even take me to my next appointment so think I will have to check about that.

Hi eveyone

I havent posted on here for months because I have been so busy with work, but I have followed all the news from you guys all the time. I love this thread so now I have lots of free time I can contribute to the discussions, lol.

Bit of an update found out im having a girl at 16 weeks I went to a babybond gender scan privately, best money I have ever spent. I recommend highly.

Sorry for the lack of personals but I just wanted to say to Dexcat that I am so glad the scan went ok and was better news than you expected  :) Look after yourself and rest as much as possible.
