« on: 2/04/05, 20:29 »
We have been waiting sooooo long for egg donation in uk and have now finally decided to look at other options. WE are nearing 40, my DH and I, had 2 failed ed on nhs but no donors are imminent. Have heard good things about spain and we are now ready to seriously consider this. any help would be greatly appreciated. Need to know how it works and financial side. thanks.

J: Try this site:  www.ivfconnections.com and search by location.  There is a strong thread about donor egges in Spain.

    Hi

I also became pregnant after my first treatment at IVI Barcelona but miscarried on Tuesday.  I am putting this down to the luck of the draw rather than the clinic. I am very impressed with the clinic and intend to go back in June. They are very fastidious and have a dedicated English speaker who keeps you informed and attends the ET. They open late until 10pm so it is easy to keep in touch with your consultant. They carry out ET's in an operating theatre with scrubs, so its all very professional. Good luck.

    Hi Jackate

I recently went to the Midlands Fertility Services and they gave us a website address www.ivi.es. :)

I believe it costs about the same as here but you have to pay for your flights over and then you have to pay for scans etc here.  We are just awaiting our results for the blood test and then are going to have a look at the website and take it from there.  To have it done here is a 2 year waiting list but for Spain I believe it is about 2 months.  So we are going to give it a go ourselves and hopefully!!!!! ::)

Hope that things work out for you.
