Hi Ladies,

I am so glad to hear so much good news on this thread and so much positive and happy posts...  here to me bringing it all down..sorry  :( :( but I have no one to talk to about this as DH is now away this week and I still have over a week until I am 6w 6d and we have our first scan at the Lister.  I am so paranoid it is already over that I am not sleeping and keep dreaming it 's all over.  Did HCG bloods Mon,Wed and Fri last week and again today at my local GP.  Results for Friday and today's tests take a few days to come back anyway so I am always on tenter hooks.  DH said I should quit the HCG's.  The only other time I have ever been pregnant we saw a very faint HB at an 8 wk scan but it had stopped growing around about next week and it was all over.  I was in shock and totally devastated!  I don't seem to have any symptoms except for sore boobs, tiredness and needing to wee a lot esp during the night.  No sickness or funny food issues like I started to have a bit of last time roun and like most of you seem to have.  I am worried this means the embryo has left us. :'(

Am so sorry to bring a downer on this happy thread but I am going crazy and not coping too well when I know I should be overjoyed but we have had disappointment before and I guess I am not confident it's our time.  Why are the days going so slowly...?

Ok so  ^reiki^ ^reiki^ ^reiki^ ^reiki^ thoughts! xxxx

alison hi hun firstly can i say i have the same feelings, you cant beleive all is ok until youve seen it with your own eyes? the 3rd is round the corner and before you know it your be there seeing that little heart beat and blubbing away  :) xxxx

well i should take my own advice and im trying to stay on cloud nine but today i feel a bit empty or normal? i should be happy i have no sicky feeling but i think were all going to worry when we have not enough symptoms so we are just going to go  ^idiot^ xxxx

#9 ·
Alison i'm sorry you are feeling low.. We have the same scan day at the Lister and i'm in just as much panic as you are... Let's try to stay positive together and when we see that heartbeat, we will just melt! Stay strong as next Tuesday is almost here... I haven't even had any bloods done!!! I'm having a bit of pulling on my right lower pelvis and into the very top of my leg.. Not sure if this is normal or not! I'm so scared of ectopic!
Can you tell me though, how much the Lister charge for Cyclogest? I'm running low and need to buy some but don't know what they charge....

#10 ·
Swanage - I probably got you stressed out with my post!  Sorry...as you say I also feel I am going a bit doo laly some days.  Its amazing to think that "Normal" people simply do a HPT then do nothing else until their 12 week scan.  I would go mad!  but I guess we have our reasons to be concerned or we wouldnt be here!

dmhw - Hi!  I know you are in exactly the same boat as me but you are not such a psycho with your obsession with the bloods.  It s just I want to br prepared just in case !  You have no reason to be thinking like me... anywsy I am going to stop now as the surgery wont give me the results until a gp has reviewed them first, so days go by...ridiculous!  Re Cyclogest  I bought mine from Asda at £12.22 for 15 but I am going to need a new prescription soon too.  You can give the pharmacy a call and compare the prices.  I got all my drugs from Asda and saved a fair bit.

Lets just enjoy the sunshine.

Thanks for your supportive messages xxx

Hi there - please could you add me to the list also? I had IVF, BFP on 22.03 and early scan is 10.04. Thanks!

Alison - I feel exactly the same as you my love! My inner neurotic is battling to get out and all I can think of is worse case scenarios - ectopic, no heartbeat, etc. I think its only natural and its also hard to compare to others. I don't really have any symptoms apart from increased weeing and feeling hungry and slight queasy when I wake up but that disappears as soon as I eat and then I feel fine for the rest of the day, which of course instead of making me happy makes me worried!  ^idiot^
I haven't done any HCG bloods either which is starting to play on my mind so am going to try and see if my friendly GP will help me out. I do honestly think that this 2ww for a scan is even harder than the first 2ww so please don't be too hard on yourself, I think everyone is feeling the same. I'm going to try and take my own advice and get out into the sunshine for a walk to clear my head and think lovely, fluffy, positive thoughts!

love and luck to everyone x

I have a baby by my name  ;D

Alison - you sound like me a week ago. How your feeling is totally normal, just getting pregnant has been hard for all of us so were bound to think the worst. It doesn't mean its going to happen though  ;)

Swanage - i felt normal for weeks then BAM, morning, day and night sickness has hit me. Symptoms come sooner to others than some, look at me all rational  ;D  Doesn't help were looking out for every little dizzy spell either.

Dmhw - what your describing sounds normal i think, i get the odd twinge and pulling sensation its your body adapting for your little bubs.

Lovelychops -  ^hello^

AFM - I feel relatively positive today, feel rank which is great! Ive asked this before but think it got lost amongst the last fast moving thread so ill ask again; Is anyone having more scans before their 12 week one? Well its a gorgeous day and I'm about to spend it walking round tesco  ??? Hope everyones OK xxx

Hi ladies.  I'm exactly the same!  Going slightly insane waiting for the early scan to get here and driving my other half and parents mental talking about it all the time!!

I'm 5w and 4d today and we have previously lost at 6w so i'm panicking about that this time!  I get different feelings this time though, so am praying that is good news and it will stick!

I get hungry, then eat, then feel sick!  Not actually been sick though...yet!  Also i still get twinges, and occasionally i'll sneeze or move and feel like i've pulled a muscle in my tummy!???

Oh and the cyclogest keeps playing with my bowels!!  Tmi coming up.........not been since Friday!

xx

ticky no more scans for me after 7 wk one until 12wks i think? i have heard before you can pay for some to be done? i know i should love not having many symptoms but last time i was really queasy by now and the day before i m/c was my first day of real morning sickness (the loss of brekki type) but that was at just over 5 weeks so little while to go? i will calm myself down and get my bloods done to ease my mind  ^idiot^ xx

Swanage - keeping everything crossed for you....

SS - I'm a day behind you so i'm keeping everything crossed.

Ticky - thank you.. I hope it is normal.. I may also have pulled a muscle!

Alison - Don't worry i'm a pyscho too.. I keep doing hpt! My DP thinks i'm absolutely nuts! hahahahahaha

Jules - I know you have a 9 week scan at the Lister. Do you need to pay extra for that?

#18 ·
Hello

I'm on my phone so limited personals but despite having had my 6wk scan I'm still fretting away. No sickness but some nausea but I am so exhausted I can barely function!!

Yes I've got a 9 wk scan at the lister and yes we have to pay for it. I think it's £120 which is wince inducing until I think about how much treatment has already cost and more importantly the peace of mind it will give me!! The lister said it was optional but they strongly recommended it given I'm carrying twins :)

Enjoy the sunny day everyone

Jules

Hello ladies! Haven't posted for a while but I'm going absolutely crazy waiting for this scan.
Wasnt going to see the midwife untill after the scan but there was a virus going around the school I teach in which is dangerous for pregnant women so I phoned her. Had to go in straight away for a blood test. Turns out Im immune anyway phew! But she examined me and she suspects twins! so Im even more nervous now since I lost twins last year.
Scan on Thursday! x

Clarabell, i get the odd niggle now and then depending on the days.  Not AF pain though, more like someone tugging inside! Quite a wierd feeling!

#25 ·

#26 ·
Hi All,

When someone once posted "it gets harder as the days pass as you have more to lose" i thought, that is so completely true and after a 6 week scan and an 8 week scan im now anxiously waiting for our 12 week scan....and from there it will continue.....The fact we are all feeling the same must show its a very natural reaction to what we are going through.  I had a nosey down the list of names at the beginning of this thread and it struck me how the majority who have had scans have baba's smiling at them.  For those poor women who didnt have their turn this time (i dont know how you have coped, i take my hat off to you when i read such supportive messages to others on the threads) there seems to be symptoms early on that things arent well. I dont mean not having symptoms,or light spotting, or twinges.  I mean actual signs that things are not going to plan like heavy bleeding, serious cramps.  We all know what the risks are far too well but i feel, certainly for myself, that thinking what can go wrong is a self defensive coping mechanism and not wanting to tempt fate and assume all is well.  On the other hand, I also STRONGLY believe in a positive mental attitude.  Here is a load of  ^fairydust^ and  ^pray^ ^pray^ ^pray^ for us all to share as we look forward to seeing our babies on scan. Here is a load more  ^fairydust^ and  ^pray^ ^pray^ ^pray^ for those ladies who have suffered a loss this time round, that next time WILL be your time for your dreams to come true.  Nothing worth while in life comes easily, and omg dont we feel that!

Lots of love,

Caroline.
