Nhs Funding for sibling with new partner in Trafford?

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help? I have a six year old son with a previous partner from donor insemination. I have been with my new partner for 3 years and we have been having IVF privately for the last year. No known issues other than no sperm (same sex couple). Does anyone know if we'd be eligible for funding in Trafford as a 'new couple where only one has a child' as some of the guidelines seem to say.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi Salty, it varies from ccg. They've all got their own rules. Most do make you self fund 3-6 goes at iui before they'll pay for anything. Ours has said we've to fund 6 then they'd fund up to 3 goes at ivf. We've no children, if we had they wouldn't fund anything. I'd give them a ring after the new year.
