Thanks Grey! I'm doing fine - just happy to still be pregnant - did you manage to book an early scan?

Beldon - I had it done at FMC. As I have done bloods past 11w it was 500. But before I think is 450. Nuchal scan is then included at 12-13 weeks. Very good experience overall. However I had to redraw bloods as first time as there was not enough baby DNA in my blood. Second time was ok though. I would say go for it as after 35-37 is highly recommended. Mx

Had my 12 week Nuchal scan today. All looked good, babba moving and twirling around. Saw its little hands and feet. Was just lovely!
Hope everyone else is good and have a relaxing weekend.

Karhog - lovely news hun  ^hugme^ Each stage feels like a hurdle doesn't it?

Beldon - I hope you're ok hun  ^hugme^ And finding a way to cope with your news  ^hugme^

Bundles - what's a Doppler scan? Is that for heartbeat?

AFM - I didn't book a scan in the end. I got my next bloods back and we are up to 8878 which was a doubling time of around 55 hours  :) So I think I'm happy with that and it calmed me down a bit. So I'll wait for the scan next Friday at the EPU - I'll be 7w1d by then  ;) Mamo thinks it's twins but I'm sure I only saw one sac when I went for my early scan  ::)

The Doppler scan is where they check the blood flow through the cord. It an be used as an early warning for lots of problem conditions. Usually done 22-24wks I think. I had one last time, it's done by the consultant & is more in depth plus multicoloured  ;D  Great betas, you've just saved some money to pay for an extra scan later on  :)

Hey, where is everybody? How are you doing pg ladies?
I had my NT scan on Friday and all looked good. The little one was too shy and didn't want to show its nasal bone though... It was fun watching it moving around, turning its back to the screen and the curious spectators  ;D
Next scan is on 6 February... Hope I won't go nuts till then... too much time inbetween...

I told my boss today.. He was not surprised though... My staying with the company doesn't look really promising after the maternity leave, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it goes... The cat is out of the bag and I'm relieved.

Great news about the scan Mrs F and that you got to see babba again. I saw diabetic specialist last week due to my gestational diabetes last pregnancy and ask back on restricted diet and testing my blood three times a day..... Ugh! All precautionary at this stage but have been told I'm likelt to get it again.
Next scan is a week Wed to check my cervix length due to having treatment on it a few years ago.....not sure if I will get to see babba, will have to sweet talk the sonographer!
As for work, I informed them a week ago. I haven't been back since the birth of my son  + maternity leave and now on a/l till mid Jan but I imagine they are less than impressed!
Hope everyone else is doing ok? Anyone else at that awkward stage of finding clothes uncomfortable but really no it big enough for maternity? Feeling bloated and frumpy!
