You only need about 400mcg of folic acid, never heard of prednisone making you need more -- it's usually calcium that you need more of. Do you have MTHFR or other gene mutations which affect your folate requirements?

Pbal - shame on her for putting the wind up you and then not leaving you with decent info. I'd check with Gennet if I were you. They'll know far more about prednisolone usage than a midwife.

Pbal - I've only ever heard of extra folic acid if overweight.... Pretty sure the clinic would kniw this if needed, but as Sporty says give them a call for your peace of mind.

    Thanks ladies

I have contacted the clinic so shall wait and see.

I think the risk of cleft palate due to prednisolone is very small and I will have just have to wait and see. Gosh i cant wait till this little one is in my arms xxxx

    God Bless

Twin A was not cooperating very well so I do have to go back for another scan on the 3rd July just to get the last few measurements!  Its starting to feel very real!!!   ;D

Lovely news Jellie. Well done. Once you know the gender I think it starts to feel real. The names will start to flow, ideas for the nursery will start to become actual purchasesu and your love for your little girls will grow even more each day as the reality of them being with you soon gets nearer and nearer.
