Congratulations Bearacus!!! You and your OH must be thrilled!!!

As for me, I'm currently recovering on the couch after my egg collection feeling very sore indeed! The procedure itself was fine, I slept like a baby and felt nothing at all. The hospital staff were all lovely. I'm a bit disappointed that we only got 6 eggs from my 10 follicles and even more disappointed that OH's sample wasn't great so we were advised to go for ICSI. We'll find out tomorrow how many (if any!) fertilised so please keep your fingers crossed for me ladies!!

Bettyboop, 6 eggs is very respectable I'd say! I understand you'd be disappointed if it's less than you expected though. As MrsHappy said, it only takes one! Hope you aren't waiting long for your call today, fingers crossed xxxx

Thanks for your kind words ladies, am feeling slightly better this morning. Just had the call from the embryologist (after staring at my phone since 9am!) Good news (I think!) -3 eggs out of the 6 fertilised normally so if they continue to develop normally they will get me in for transfer on Saturday. She then said something about having a look at the embryos on Thursday (day 3?) and possibly bringing the transfer forward to then if they need to.... I should have asked why.... Don't suppose any of you ladies can put me out of my misery??

It will just be because there isn't loads. They would rather put back into natural habitat if numbers are low rather than wait the 5 days.xx

Start the process for IVF. I'm so nervous!!! 😕 i just really don't know what to expect.

Just hope there's not lot of waiting round to start treatment. I don't
