Hi Shilu
Great to hear from you. Alaska sounds amazing ... Always wanted to go. Xx

Monkeyface - your holiday sounds lovely.  Trying not to worry but I woke up covered in blood this morning so it's difficult not to worry when it's so visual.

Huma - hope it went well yesterday

Have a good weekend ladies
X

    Hi Ladies

Hope everyone is well and had a good weekend. I had three days of wedding celebrations so absolutely shattered 😴 today.

Monkeyface your holiday sounds fab I wish I was going somewhere hot instead of staying in cold London. May I ask what your job is as it sounds intriguing? Hope you had a lovely weekend with your family I love it when my sister and her kids visit but then am totally exhausted once they leave xx

Jasminetea hope you are well and the bleeding has stopped? I know how worrying this can be for you but sometimes women bleed for no reason and the baby is ok - so please try and relax easier said then done. For peace of mind maybe you should get another scan done? Please keep us informed praying everything works out for you big hugs xxx

Shilu so glad to hear that you are ok and that you are taking some time out your holiday sounds fab too - sooo jealous at the moment my in laws went to Alsaka and did the Rocky Mountaineer and then travelled around Canada they said it was one of the best holidays they've had - I'd love to go 😉

AFM - my NK bloods came back and my levels still remained constant at 42 😡 so frustrated at the moment as they haven't gone down so Dr G has put me on Hydroxychloroquine tablets for a month he advised to delay treatment for another month and get re-tested as my levels are still to high so it looks like I won't be in BCN until the end of April first week of May!! Feeling very upset as I just feel as if I'm never going to start - there is always so e kind of bad news!,,

    Hi Huma,

Sorry to hear about your results. I have very mixed views on NK cells as there is so much mixed reviews on the Internet. It must be so difficult for you, and so frustrating. Hydroxychloroquine is quite a strong drug so please do look at any of it's side effects. Sometimes we can forget about the strength of medication we are putting into our bodies in our quest to become pregnant.

I do not want to sound negative, but I know how strong the quinine group of drugs are. Last week, when I went for my D and C, one of the drugs were so strong that it brought on extreme pain and loss of blood, so I am putting a complaint in to the hospital as a result.

It was not a quinine but it does go to show how willing and ready we are to take medication without realising the sometimes harmful effects it can have on our bodies.
I know you are trying to give yourself the best possible chances of a successful outcome and I know you will get there, but do please be aware of quinine.

Sorry to go on and have a rant, again I am not trying to be negative, just want to keep you aware, sending lots of love,

    Shilu x

    Hi Shilu

Thanks for the concern re the tablets - really appreciate it 😀 and please don't worry about the rant I completely understand. Dr G has already advised for me to get in contact with him immediately if I have any adverse reaction to the drug so I am already keeping a really close eye on things at the moment.

It is really frustrating for me as all my other results are ok but for the NK cells and three different Dr's over the years of my treatment have stated that I need to get these down/stabilised otherwise I will not achieve a pregnancy I have fallen pregnant numerous times but have miscarried. I have also discussed my NK issues with Dr Olivares and he is aware of how the NK's can effect a pregnancy but unfortunately he doesn't specialise in this and has referred me back to Dr G so at this present time I am focusing on whatever I can to reduce this before starting my treatment. In the past Humira has worked for me but not sure why it didn't this time round.

Really shocked to hear that you had extreme pain and blood loss following your D&C  after being given the quinine drug Shilu - if that happened to me I would also put in a letter of complaint. Hope you are feeling better now?

How is everyone else doing hope you are all fine Jasmineatea we haven't heard from you for a couple of days hope everything is ok and the bleeding has stopped?

Take care everyone and big hugs xxxx

    Hello ladies

Huma- really sorry to hear about your results. I can imagine how frustrating this is. I agree that should be careful about all these drugs. I have read about the whole nk cells thing and I am in two minds about it. There's a lot of evidence for and against. If you don't mind me asking how did the doctors know it was the nk cells causing the mcs? Was it with your own or donor eggs? Well I am sure your levels will go down if they went down before. Fingers crossed for next month.

Shilu- sorry to hear about the pain and blood. Hope you are feeling better and recovering from your cold. Bet you can't wait to go on holiday.

I am feeling ok - tired, mad dreams and  sore nipples that are all dry and peely skinned... Nice. I've also got that metallic taste in my mouth.  The bleeding stopped on Saturday and ive not bled since then so that's good.  I'm paranoid I've mc'd and I just cannot feel it but there's no point in worrying. I keep on telling myself I've no control so just let it go.

Hope you've  got nice plans for Easter.

    Xx

    Hi Everyone,

Hope you all are well and looking forward to the long weekend.

Jasmineatea so glad to hear that the bleeding has stopped. I'm sure everything is ok as you still have sore nipples and even the metallic taste which is not very nice at all - poor you! How many weeks are you now and when is your next scan?

My embryos have always been grade AA on day 3 & day 5 transfers which have led to pregnancies and then mc so was told by the doctors that the mc are due to my NK as the foetus were always tested for chromosome and they were fine.

Monkeyface & Shilu hope you both are well :-)

Big hugs to you all xxx

    Hi everyone,

    Hope you're all well.

Jasminetea, great to hear from you and that the bleeding has stopped.

Huma, fingers crossed for your treatment. Can I ask where you have been having your blood tests as I am pretty sure that is what Barcelona will want me to have checked?

We are both fine, nothing like work to bring you back to sanity, you just have to get on with it! But we are just enjoying a break from it all, the last year has flown but it is all consuming physically and emotionally. I take my hat off to you ladies who have had a longer IVF journey.

Sending lots of hugs and we'll wishes to all xx

    Hi Everyone

Hope you all had a lovely Easter Break.

Shilu I am having my immune treatment with Dr Gorgy who has a clinic in Wimple Street London but I'm sure there are many clinics in London that do this.

Jasmineatea how are you hope everything is well and the pregnancy is progressing nicely?

Monkeyface not sure if your on holiday at the moment but I bet you must be looking forward to starting your treatment in the next couple of weeks?

    Big hugs to everyone xxx

    Heh everyone....

I've stopped getting notifications for this site so have missed all your comments.

Jasminetea I hope you are feeling better. I'm glad your bleeding has stopped. Did you go to the doctors again for a scan after it happened?

Huma my holiday is in June, but I'm already on countdown for it. My period was due to start yesterday but as usual it is late. I'm hoping to still be in BCN by the 13th April so hopefully it comes soon. In regards to my job I'm a firearms officer in the police so I like to keep fit so I can pass my yearly tests. I wouldn't bother otherwise.  ::)

Shilu I hope you are doing ok now. Im amazed at how people deal with horrible things. You are a very strong person. Im sure things will work out soon. I am very jealous of your holiday destination. I love Canada and I have never been to Alaska. I hope you have a relaxing and wonderful time.

I was working Easter on night shifts but I did get to move lots of fallen trees in the rain... I also stuffed my face with Easter eggs so all in all a good weekend.
