Your coordinator will advise you on a change of meds. I think the only thing that was changed for me was an increase in the prednisolone dose.

    Hi Linbruzaite
I had 2 fresh cycles and 1 FET at PFC before getting immune testing done and then my meds were changed but this was on the advice of my immunes specialist not PFC.
    Good luck.

I'm just looking the reason why I've had failed donor IVF.

Immune issues? Interestingly KitKat was successful with the first go, so unlikely immune problems there.

Daisy Mae got pregnant on immune cycle where they have increased prednisolone.

Aliena was successful with not so aggressive immune protocol.

Baking queen success with immune protocol.

    Njr with immune protocol.

Anyone there not with immune protocol or increased prednisolone got pregnant on the first or second try with donor ivf?

I'm thinking to increase prednisolone for the next donor ivf or not?

My bfp cycle was the only cycle I had increased Prednisolone. 20mg. And prolonged use. My consultant had me start it 3 months before cycling. I believe what did it for me was a uterine septum that was diagnosed by a hysteroscopy.

My prednisolone was just increased from 2.5mg to 5mg, which seems to be the standard dose now. For some reason this time round they put me on extra Estrofem - I had 4 cycles at 1:1:1 (one of which was successful) and this one was 2:1:2 so 10mg per day. The trouble is linbruzaite, despite all the developments in medical science, they don't really understand why some people get pregnant on the first go, while others have to wait a while. I know exactly how you feel as I like you wanted to get to the bottom of it and do everything I could to improve my chances. There's a lot of literature out there but try not to stress too much about making lots of changes as stress in itself may be one of the things that lowers your chances.

    Take care x

Sorry, I didn't want to upset all of you. I'm going only in October or even later.
Life is not without a stress.
My donor fertilisation rate was poor. They retrieved 10 eggs, only 5 made to day 3. And only 2 were grade 1. So I have only 3 not the best left, which I'll ask to cultivate to day 5. Hopefully they all make it, but I'm in doubt.
I can't change the donor now as it will cost more money.
So I' thinking to improve implantation via meds. Increased Prednisolone dose doesn't harm, and it might help.
There are so many unknowns in this field, so PFC is not different from others not knowing what to do.

Yes kitkat at some point it WILL work and mental positivity counts for a lot. I was worried too about being on such a high dose of Estrofem, really I wanted to keep all the meds the same as when I had my first BFP. However it worked despite the change in medication, so you're right at the end of the day it's down to the quality of the embryo.

I understand how you feel linbruzaite. On my 3rd cycle (2nd donor) I only had 4 developing embryos and they took the 2 best ones first but it was a BFN. The next 2 lesser quality ones resulted in my LO so try not to lose hope.

Linbruzaite, in my case it worked the first time, with a fresh embryo.
I took the regular meds plus the standard dose of prednisolone, which I believe was 5 mg.
It really sucks it didn't work out for you. I really do believe it's all about the quality of the embryo.

So my first transfer worked and DS is now 9 months old. I still have two frosties. They advise me to transfer them in my natural cycle. So no meds at all for me!
I'd like to go asap. They need me to do a pap smear first so when the results of this are in, I will arrange the transfer.
