Prague fertility centre - General chat and cycling part 3
« Reply #180 on: 20/07/17, 11:32 »
I haven't really got a co-ordinator at the moment - I miss Ivana too. I've just had my smear done and I had a mammogram and ultrasound done a few years ago actually as I'd found a lump so hopefully they'll accept that if they need it. Someone mentioned about some blood tests too but I'll be seeing my immune specialist soon so I'm sure he'll make sure everything is in order. My biggest problem is going to be weaning my little girl (and me!) off breastfeeding.
Thanks ladies.

I'm going for a FET in a few months. They want me to do a lining scan and a pap smear. No mammo but that's because i'm under 40.
It will be a transfer in my natural cycle so no additional meds!

Does anyone know how long after birth do pfc let you cycle for a fet? Feel silly asking lucie considering I'm still 4 months off giving birth!! 😂

Lucie told me I could go for FET as soon as my cycle returned. Mine didn't return until after I stopped bf.

I was told not to get pregnant again within 2 years because I had a c-section. If all goes to plan, it will be just under 2 years and my consultant was fine with that.
We agreed the day after I had my little girl that we would be going back for a frostie.
Seems a bit unreal to be thinking about going again!

It is nice to see so much activity here.

I have just a phone conversation with coordinator and the doctor together about my failed first donor IVF.

As usually they don't know why it failed, but probably it is not my turn to win a lottery.

I'm planning for FET in October, to give myself more time to recover. They offered natural or medicated, which ever I want to do. My heart saying - do natural, but mind differently. I still have time to think about it.

I asked do they consider me treating differently, or if I have immune issues? They don't treat me differently if I don't do immune testing.  I still think that I might have immune issues.

The doctor agreed with what ever I said, not big help. But I guess there are still so much unknown in IVF science. It is basically a lottery. If I have never won a lottery, does it mean that I have never get pregnant?

BQ - did your immune protocol included Intralipids and Clexane?

Baby dust to all who are going for treatment.

    Hi Linbruzaite
Yes - I had intralipids and Clexane, as well as Humira, Prednisolone and aspirin. I did immunes testing on the recommendation of one of the PFC doctors and they were happy to prescribe as per his protocol.
    Hope that helps.

Thank you, Daisy Mae! Took another test and it's negative. Going today for blood work. I had a problem with a persistent corpus luteum last year and I'm thinking that's what's going on now. Just my luck....my cycles have been like clockwork up until now!!  ^idiot^ >:( Murphys Law, I guess! Does anybody know if I can take something to get my cycle started?

Yes, KitKat, I guess you'd say DOR (and AMA). My AMH is pretty much nonexistent.

    Congrats on being pupo Kitkat.

JRP pfc gave me norethisterone to induce my af to when they wanted it. Don't panic. They are used to people's af's being out of sync.

Congratulations KitKat! FX and baby dust to you. Please keep us posted!

Thanks for the info Mattysmrs. I'll check with my OB/GYN to see if they will prescribe that for me if it turns out to be a BFN (which I'm thinking it will).  :'(

It's just so frustrating, though! For once, I was looking forward to taking BCP - knowing that it might bring us our baby (ironically! Ha!) I was going to start taking them on Friday or Saturday but NOOOOO, my body has other things in store for me!  ::) UGH! Hopefully, I can find out today and get it back on track (if no BFP). I was told by my coordinator that because I started this process a little early, I can wait until next week to start the BCP and keep the same dates we already have set. Whew!

Oh no sorry to hear that JRP2013. I was prescribed norethisterone to induce my period and it did work, despite having none for at least 6 months before. Good news that you can keep to your original dates.

I have everything crossed for you kitkat. Try not to symptom spot (I know it's difficult not to). I had no symptoms at all - no implantation bleed (unless it was very late), no sore boobs, absolutely nothing.
