Best electric breast pump?
« on: 13/01/17, 12:54 »
Can anyone recommend an electric breast pump? I had a Medela Swing before, but wasn't a huge fan.
Would be great to get some suggestions, as they're not cheap!

Thanks : )

I used the Philips Avent Manual one... had no problems with it, and it's also relatively cheap... bought mine for 40... so it may be worth checking it out? :)

I had a Lansinoh single pump: never had any issues. It's quite cheap (I paid 50 for it) and not particularly noisy.

It's clearly not comparable to hospital-grade pumps (from what I read about them), but it was definitely enough for my needs (expressing 1-2 bottles/day)

I did need some replacement valves after 6 months, but got them for free from Lansinoh the day after I emailed them to ask where I could find them!!!

My daughter was in the NICU as she was premature and I had to pump for a long period of time. I used the hospital Medela pumps and bought a Medela Swing for home use. It was brilliant and I would highly recommend.
