Favecoulourblue- twin boys are ace. Congratulations on team blue  ^blueted^ ^blueted^ They will have a best friend for life, its so different to the boy girl combo who are more like siblings who share a birthday. They have more individuality perhaps than boy girl a d more so than identical boys. The overall closeness between two identical sex twins just cant be beaten. Will share how i know this for sure later on  ;)

Think of those cute matching outfits too  :)

Your name is just so fitting and a real coincidence

Sm89- had a few episodes here and there of that pain and it does coincide with when im stressed and been rushing around. Have gone to bed early and rested and it has gone. Listen to your body, if it doesn't go away with rest get checked out for peace of mind  ^hugme^

You are not a fraud, still an expectant mum, albeit surrounded by bigger bumps.  wonderful to see your babe in 4d with your mum.

Yes we have nearly everything now  ::) once its all in the nursery, I'm shutting that door tight untill they come home! Trying to balance the fear of not being prepared this time with realism. Its hard when you feel bonded and excited to balance that with caution. .

Lols- not had that way with the belly, maybe its something you have eaten? Drink water and rest perhaps and hopefully it will go.

Ruby81-- thats good you have the good news and an answer for why the appointment was. Maybe its because of the strain on your body  of babe. Our biochemistry is all so individual it could be that.  ^reiki^ Its all ok x

Clara belle 71- Go by your instinct on that one. I would do the same , it just sounds risky. Does the risk outweigh the benefit? Did the Dr say?

Ruby100- how are you? Are you feeling excited , do you keep in touch everyday with ypur surrogate?

Sorry if missed anyone .. At work and having a sneaky break

20 weeks next week and huge! Feel more than halfway

Wow dreamer - good for you having everything ready! Very organised. We have had a sneaky look at prams, we sold everything of my daughters , we have nothing but a cot and a travel cot left of hers. It's like starting from scratch! When's your 20 week scan booked for?

Favouritecolourblue - I agree with what Dreamer said, I've got lots of twins pals in the real world , and the bond between same sex twins is awesome. It's different somehow from mixed twin sets. Not that one set is better than another, but definitely same sex twins form that unique twin bond.

So who on here has found out the sex/or planning on doing so?

    And who's having a suprise?

With my daughter we had a gender scan at 16 weeks. However this time round we are leaning towards a suprise! If I can keep up my willpower x

Dr didn't say except she was very pushy into us getting the pap smear. Told us how a patient of hers got cancer with a new born. The more we think about it, the more dh and i are against it right now. Ive only ever gotten one in all my 46 yrs so why does waiting about 6 month make a huge difference. The dr at our local fertility centre was suppost to do one with the sonohysterogram prior to our ivf but he kept saying my cervix was not cooperating and didnt finish.

Iam very curious to know if we are having a boy or girl. I was told we might know at 20 week scan. Dh says he doesnt know yet if he wants to know. Of course after waiting about 9 yrs of trying for a baby we really do not mind. X

lollipops - We had the harmony test & so found out the sex of the baby quite early. I would love a suprise too but just didnt have the willpower  :) There are definitely pro's and con's to both. Thanks for the reassurance about the pains, there was no bleeding it just makes you panic when it feels so intense I suppose. It's eased now thankfully.

Dreamer - I am the same, it's so hard to find that balance. Once I'm all organised I'll shut the door too! We've sorted our pram now and it arrived on Tuesday, and my partner's dad bought us the car seat & isofix to match so all of our big things are sorted now really. Exciting. I will definitely listen to my body going forward, I worked at home yesterday so I could stay relaxing so I think that's helped. Pains have definitely eased now. Lovely that you've got a huge bump, I can't wait for mine to arrive I'm still only quite small but in that awkward stage dont fit in normal clothes or maternity clothes so I'm looking pretty awful at the moment ha!

    Hope everyone else is okay.

I just can't seem to face buying anything yet. I was over 30 weeks before I allowed DH to start the buying. I suffer with anxiety and its magnified in pregnancy.

Does anyone feel in that horrible limbo land ? I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and feeling less and less pregnant  (which I know is normal as your symptoms ease a little) but I can't help worrying it's all going wrong  :-\  I am having a worrying day

Clarabelle- did you speak to your clinic? Like you say, unless they have some specific concerns then it's unlikely that waiting until later should be a problem. It sounds like your doctor is over cautious after having a patient with cancer previously.

Lollipops - I want to find out the gender but given the choice DP would prefer a surprise. He's still happy enough for us to find out though. It's a month till our 20 week scan so hopefully we'll find out then. I've been feeling a bit in limbo too. Some days I just don't feel pregnant at all even though I'm getting my little bump now!

At the minute I'm a complete wreck! I was called early yesterday by my consultants secretary to come in for more bloods. The forms were for various tests and have been referred to 2 specialist haematologists and also the head of obstetrics and fetal medicine at another hospital. One of the forms was also a request for a blood transfusion. That was 24 hours ago and I've heard nothing. The forms were handed to me by the secretary so I've had no conversation with any medical professional about what's actually happening. I've tried chasing it up this morning but my consultant is in clinic and needs to liaise with the other specialists about the results so I 'might' get a call this afternoon. I'm avoiding google but DP has looked and won't tell me anything. He's visibly shaken though and cancelled his business trip. Obviously I couldn't sleep last night, I just want to know what they suspect might be wrong, knowing nothing is sending my mind into overdrive!  The only saving grace has been that I had my routine community midwife appointment this morning (I was so tempted to cancel, just feeling like there was no point going) and she listened to baby's heartbeat with the Doppler for the first time and said it sounded perfect and was 160bpm. So, whatever else is going on with me, at least my little baby is still fighting on in there. I'm just so scared I'm going to lose my little one now.
Sorry for the long post, I just needed to get my feeling out somewhere.

Ruby81- let us know how you get on, it sounds worrying, especially as you have no answers. Now that specialists are being consulted hopefully the solution and reasons will come soon and can be resolved. A relief to hear babe's heartbeat for sure.
