Dreamer - Thanks. The sciatica seems to have gone now much to my relief. Was struggling in work with no sleep. That was my thinking re maternity leave, wanted as much time after the baby is born as possible.  :) Sorry you've been having Braxton Hicks, initially that's what I thought my sciatica was. That must be very painful and frustrating. I'm glad you've been signed off sick so you can try to relax these last few weeks.

Clarabelle - Sorry I've not had an internal scan since 6 weeks pregnant when I had a scare. I think I've heard of the halo bassinet but not the babybjorn one. Must be different options in Canada like you said. I've got the tutti bambini next to me one which is good. I love the mothercare stuff too, especially all of the monochrome stuff. Hope you are well  :)

Everything fine with me. Based on IVF dates 33+4, based on hospital dates 34+1. Been back and forth the hospital since Sunday with reduced movements but they seem to have picked back up again now. They're going to scan me Friday just to make sure everything is fine but I've been monitored and heart rate etc all looking good. Must've just been having a lazy day! Finally cracked on with nursery and not much to buy now just last bits. All seems very real. Hope you're all okay, been quiet on here but I expect that's just everyone getting ready for their babies to arrive  :)

Sm89 , i know baby can be very active one day and not the next. Sorry you had to check in at the hospital. Its good you do though. Sometimes when i worry i drink ice water, walk fast or eat to try to wake baby up. Still deciding which bassinet. We are not going straight for a cot as we have no nursery as still living with parents. We won't be moving until perhaps 5 months after. Its very expensive here and they have waiting lists for alot of apartments. My mum can help but not too much as now 78. Will get dh to take a few weeks off.

Sm89- best to get checked out for peace of mind. Good that all is well. As Clarabelle says, ice cold drinks are a way to try get babe to react. Just talkIng about cold drinks makes  me fancy a slush despite it being midnight.
What a great feeling to be ready to roll. We still have to sort the car but that is it.

This is so real now, everyone getting ready to meet their bundles. Wondering who will be second to have their babe/babies?

Had  a scan today At 35 weeks and baby A is now head low and cephalic. Finally, after being transverse for months he has shifted. A week and a half until last appointment with the consultant and a Csection date, unless
Natural Labour has began before. Feeling nervous now
As was all mentally propped for a section.

Hello everyone sorry not been here for a while, Iím 38 weeks and 1 day had growth scan last week and the baby has had a massive growth spurt! He was 4.12 3 weeks ago then last week was 7.8??!!  So consultant said a stretch and sweep Wednesday  just gone but nothing happened then I got another this Monday to try again. If nothing happens a scan on Thursday then induced Friday next week!  Iím hoping the measurements are out !  All this time they said risk of small baby and bad plencenta because of my age !  Well fingers up to them! Although I worry how big he is now!!

Hope you are all good xx

Sally - Wow what a growth spurt! How exciting that you are nearly there!  :) Have you decided on a name yet?

Dreamer - Definitely. Movements had picked back up by Monday but as you said better for peace of mind. Glad baby A has shifted for you! Do you know roughly when your section will be scheduled for?

Clara - Thanks for the tips. Will try that if he decides to be lazy again! I'm sure you'll get there. At least living with parents you'll have that extra pair of hands when he's here to help out  :) Every cloud

I had a scan today as hospital insists after a period of reduced movements. All is well, baby is quite low so the sonographer was unable to get head measurements but based on stomach and thigh measurements he is approx 5 pounds 9 at the moment, and we're on for a baby at the end of 7 pound early 8 pound range! I'm still measuring small but the midwife has said she thinks that I'll always measure small due to the baby's position. He was sucking his thumb and looked very content in there!

    Hope everyone else is well.

Sm89- how very cute that your boy was sucking his thumb, did you get a picture? So glad you got such lovely reassurance. He will be a lovely size too.

Wondering if is because he is so low now that you feel less. I've noticed for sure less movements with our blue twin now he is so low and his head engaged, just some possible limb movements lower down in bump and possible twitchy feet higher up, but quite light. His placenta is posteria.

The section date for the twins will not be later than 37 weeks. So another 20 days absolute maximum to go.

Sally cannot believe you are 38 weeks and can have baby any time. I read lots of times they get the size of baby wrong. Its something that can happen with GD, but so far ive been borderline so don't want to worry. My new specialist had me in tears telling me all the risks for my age, but nurse said she has no filter, and does not know how to talk to people. Iam told they will start talking to me week 38 about being induced. Internal scan is week 33 to check placenta. So no idea yet about a c section. I laughed when you said fingers up to them for telling you small baby and bad placenta. I know what you mean, it was like the specialist just wanted to scare me. Wish i could change to another. Iam scared of an internal scan but nurse said its fine.

Sm89 glad you got another scan , 5 pounds 9 sounds great. I read they gain a half pound per week. I lost weight at last weigh in at diabetic clinic though.

Dreamer less than 20 days will be fast.

Iam slightly behind you all at 31 weeks 4 days. We will be hearing birth announcements soon. I upset myself yesterday just missing buying the babybjorn bassinet on clearance at walmart canada, i had it in basket ready to buy for $250 but disappeared and now sold out and no longer on page. Only other places it is about $400.

What a pain Clara on missing out on such a bargain. I always panic when I see one and don't buy, in case that happens but hubby always reminds me, sales are always on,as are bargain deals to be found. Hopefully it will come up very soon somewhere else x

Hi Ladies, just a quick one, our little boy surprised us a bit early!  My waters broke just as I arrived for 36w midwife check - definitely could have been worse places for that to happen!  All good and he was a decent weight despite being a bit early.  Will be watching for all your news through July and August!  Good luck all xx
