Lister Cycle Chat - Part 11

Hello ladies sorry I disappeared for a while. Whole journey (5 years 5 months and no baby) getting to me and hubby.

Wanted to let you all know that thank goodness our kyrotype bloods tests were normal for us both.

We did sperm dna fragmentation and was borderline so James has said to see urologist to rule out any issue with sperm as then only thing left for bad pgs results is egg quality. I turned 38 just 2 weeks ago.

Urologist has been really good and hopes to make difference to sperm quality as thinks some of the abnormal pgs results have been down to sperm. He needs 3 months to do his tests etc.

Cannot help but worry and think whilst we resolve sperm issue I will then be the issue at 38 with egg quality. Never ending worry.

    Hope everyone is well x

Thanks!  Wish you were closer to London so we could meet up!  Let's see how we go.  Been a bit of a cobbled cycle and surprised the clinic so they are having a time catching up with me lol!

First monitoring for the cetrotide on Friday where I am living so we will see how that goes!

    Hi ladies,

I hope your cycles are going well. I wanted to pop in and ask how you're finding the Lister? I've had one cycle at City Fertility and we're considering changing. I'm 34 with low AMH, severe endometriosis and poor egg quality. DP is 30 and has poor morphology. Is there a particular Dr you think we'd get along well with?

    Thanks!

I would say for sperm issues James is the way to go, other people might feel otherwise

Id recommend dr wren every time. Shes pretty bonkers and you have to be comfortable with her telling it to you straight, but we think she is wonderful

I can't comment on who is best for your particular situation, although we've had Dr Nicopoullous and Dr Wren and really liked both. On the website there's a bit about each consultant and what their specialisms/areas of interest are which might help. If not, ring them up or email and see who they suggest sending you to see.

    Hello everyone

I'm in a slightly different situation in that I'm at a satelite clinic for the medical side, but go to the Lister for surgery.

This time round I have Hani Daabas.  Does anyone have any experience of this Dr?  I haven't met him before and this is probably my last go, so I'm really anxious.

This cycle has been super-quick, so I'm going for surgery on Friday, feeling that my feet have hardly touched the ground and I'm not ready at all.

    Words of wisdom, please!
