There was an fertility open evening in North Wales earlier this week with a free 15 minute consultation with a fertility specialist so we booked in as nothing to loose and devised a quick summary of our journey which took up a A4 piece of paper which I was surprised it wasn't more but tried to keep it high level with key points, was advised to stay with current clinic and transfer our two embryos singularly or together then if not successful then to book in and see them they suggested numerous tests such as thyroid, immune and bloods to try and identify if there's anything else going on they advised these tests could cost £3000-£5000 if this is the case we would then be going through a fresh cycle (and the cost of) so felt their advise was sensible. Hubby and I have both felt the service we have been receiving in our current clinic has been deteriorating and I know I have been making excuses for them 'they're really busy' 'they've had a change over of staff due to ill health/retirement ' 'they've moved premises and still settling in' 'consultant has done a retire and return' I'll be gutted to go elsewhere as they made us possible that we had our miracle daughter...

Not posted for a while...
Phoned the clinic 4 days ago to let them know we would like to do our last frozen cycle in September so will wait for the schedule to be posted out to us in the coming weeks. The last few weeks have been hard as it’s a year since we had the fresh cycle and a whirlwind of emotions for weeks before eventually miscarrying.
So we have a few months to loose weight and generally be healthier this is our last shot so throwing everything at it.
We decided to wait until September as the summer holidays will be busy for hubby and I want to do things with daughter rather than watching from the side line which is what I would do during the tww. At least she’ll be in school so a) won’t know any different b) won’t miss out on mummy/daughter time c) I will be able to rest during the day if I feel like it d) hubby will be able to come with me for transfer etc . I now need to decide whether to / how much annual leave to take over the summer holidays and how many for the cycle or do I go off sick for the cycle? If so how do I go about this as don’t think my consultant would give me a note? If you have any thoughts I would love to hear them (pm me) 😘

Received schedule today...start meds 2nd August with FET anticipated for week commencing 9th September having two ultrasound scans prior to FET this time not sure why but I’ll go with it.
On another note went to see GP yesterday after waiting 6 weeks for an appointment, hubby has noticed I’m shattered all the time and my neck has gone really large so wanted me to go get my thyroid checked, and I know I have put a lot of weight on just didn’t realise quite how much TIL the GP weighed me 🙈 anyways there now going to check my Thyroid, B12, iron, electrolytes, blood sugar and kidneys and a couple of other things which I can’t remember so I’ll go Tues for them and hopefully get the results by the end of the week, will post an update.

So had a phone call a few hours after my bloods and my iron was low so now on iron tablets, I phoned for other results yesterday and all within range so my weight gain must be down to eating rubbish / wine / frothy coffee! So I have bought a cross trainer and will be eating super healthy from Monday, I must do this!
Hubby has said he wants to move transfer by a week
However as consultant has retired and returned he is only part time so it may be a lot more than a week delay I asked him to phone clinic (I normally do it) and he hasn’t so far so who knows when we’ll be cycling 🤷♀️

So hubby still hasn’t phoned clinic, we had a chat the other day and he’s now ok with us going with the time the clinic have scheduled us.
Our beautiful miracle princess has turned 5 years old, seriously where has the time gone? We really are truly blessed.
So operation loose weight has not started I’m ashamed to say 😒 we got the letter from the clinic we bought a cross trainer and went shopping for lots of healthy food then when hubby said about moving the dates it really disheartened me and I soon fell off the healthy wagon, then had family stay with us this last week so was making convenient food and food in bulk that everyone liked, I now need to stop making excuses, we don’t have anything on as such over the next couple of months apart from the usual school / work / children’s parties so I have to get into the right mindset and get my bottom into gear...literally!

Random post...so I’m late for my period however due to PCOS this isn’t something new, I was in work on Friday (24th) and when I popped to the toilet and wiped there was a spot of blood so assumed AF was on her way and didn’t think anything further of it well apart from the regular disappointment each month (even though it’s medically impossible for us to conceive naturally I can’t shake off the hope
) however it’s now the 27th and there has been nothing since no spotting or full AF which is really strange, so yes I have been and bought some tests
Unfortunately it’s negative so as I do I have been googling and it’s apparently too soon it wouldn’t show up for another couple of days at the earliest so I have another test at home and two more being delivered! I really want to slap myself it absolutely can’t happen naturally for us why do I do it to myself?

So a few tests later were also negative then on the 3rd June so ten days later boom AF arrived was really crampy 😣
So as the dieting wasn’t going great...who am I kidding I was awful! I joined slimming world and signed up for 12 weeks, 1st week = 6 pound off!!!!! 👍💪🏼 Next weigh in is in 2 days, time will tell but had an awful sore throat this week and felt rubbish so not fancied preparing food or even cooking food so don’t think I’ve been eating enough as only been eating fruit mainly.
So I now have 8 pound to loose as an absolute minimum would ideally like to loose 1stone 8 pound to feel comfortable but if I can loose 2 stone that would be amazing 😉

13lb off, 1 more pound to make it a stone!
So we have booked a holiday despite saying we wasn’t going to go abroad this year 🤦♀️ Kind of got caught up in the moment speaking to friends they invited us daughter overheard and was super excited how could we then say no 🤷♀️ Even though we’re going all inclusive (uh oh!) It’s all the extras you don’t necessarily think about initially that you also have to fork out for airport parking/ taxi, airport money, general spends, new clothes for all, new shoes/footwear, new sunglasses, new make up, sun cream etc the list is never ending, however hopefully we will have a positive cycle in September (🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞) which means we won’t be going abroad for a couple of years.
