Stacey - Nice to be handing over the bcp baton!  ;) Had the shot in my backside today. Having a lovely stay in Zlin - hotel is so comfy and great that it's part of the clinic. Having the mammogram on Friday  :o

Sugar - Lovely to hear it's all going well  ^reiki^

JK - Thanks - such a relief to get it all out the way  :) That's expensive for a Buzz!  ??? Well impressed you have done your Chrimbo shopping!

Tommie - How's it going? Just here for a couple of nights but good to get accquainted with the place before we cycle.

AFM - Hysteroscopy went well - super quick and no side effects. DH was laughing as they wheeled me into recovery and he said 'how are you feeling?' and I was like 'great!' - the general is the closest I've been to being really drunk for ages!  ;D Hysteroscopy results were good. DH s/a went fine too. They had trouble getting blood out of me for tests but I'm always like that - don't know if it's 'cause I have low blood pressure but they said I have small veins. If mammogram is okay on Friday we are good to go!  ^pray^

Laquinn  excellent update !!  I have extra small veins also, the first time I went the nurse butchered me and I had a massive lump and bruise from her getting blood out, the bruise covered half my arm and was purple, yellow and a mix of other colours as well, it took a full month for it to go away, my dr nurse was horrified when she saw it lol, I even took the special needle thing that she uses, but the nurse looked at it and dismissed it as they don’t use those there  ::) good luck with the boob squishing on Friday !  ;)
Imasugarjunkie time must seem to be flying if your 22 wks already  :o hope your enjoying pregnancy  :)
Tommie hope all is well with you too  :)

Imasugarjunkie: Overall things are going well. We had a real cow of a sonographer at our 9 week reassurance scan last week. She barely spoke and it lasted less than 2 minutes. We had to ask if there was a heartbeat and she turned the screen around for about 5 seconds saying "there's your baby and the heartbeat is in the middle". She then quickly turned it back and the next words out of her mouth 30 seconds later were, "you can get up now and go into the waiting room".  We were happy that all was well, but a little disappointed with the actual scan experience.

We also met our midwife last week who says I'm high risk and is referring me for 2 different consultants (OB and Haematology). I knew my hypothyroidism would flag me up, but apparently since I have a bmi over 30, am over 35 years old, had IVF and traveled more than 4 hours in the last 10 years I'm also at an increased risk for VTE. The midwife said that I would see the specialist and he would test me and decide if I need a blood thinner, but I got a phone call from the gp today saying that they're going to go ahead and start the daily Fragmin injections. Surprise!!

Sorry if it sounds like I"m complaining, I am very happy that all is going well and am more than willing to take any pill or injection in order to have a little baby!!

Laquinn: I'm so happy to hear the the Hysteroscopy went well.  I also have small veins and it can be really frustrating. Hopefully Friday will be a breeze and you'll be well on your way for retrieval and transfer!! I'm super excited for you!!!

Oh Tommie, Not so reassuring! But at least you know everything is going well and you are a few weeks off the next scan.
Sorry to hear about your high risk but at least they’ve flagged it early and they can monitor you!

Both husband and I were butchered by the nurse that took the blood at Zlin! I’m extremely pale and you can see my veins a mile away but I was so bruised. Hubby had her attempt both arms and she was about to give up and try somewhere else when she finally got the needle in. He’s terrified of needles too!
