Hi everyone

Weíve reached a milestone today -Iím 24 weeks so have finally reached viability😊

Honeybee17-That star blanket looks adorable! Love that you going to colour co-ordinate with your peak -she will be one trendy little lady.

mrscoyle- My kitty recovered fully thank goodness,I was very very lucky to pick it up when I did especially as he is a long haired cat. He was having a cuddle on my lap and I felt this teeny tiny bump the size of a pin head on his hip,I thought it was a little wart so decided to keep an eye on it.The following week it looked a little bigger so I took him to the vet as a precaution -you can imagine my horror when the results of the aspiration came back as a mast cell tumour! Luckily the scans showed it hadnít spread internally and the surgery managed to remove all of it.

What is everyone doing about changing bags? Iíve been looking at a few and really like the Pink Lining Yummy Mummy ones but still havenít made a final decision as yet. We got a lovely gift for the baby from one of my friends who is also a crazy cat lady itís a short sleeved babygro and it says ďCrazy cat babyĒ on it in blue writing with a picture of a cat face on it 😂Totally love it!

Hope everyone has a fab Sunday xx

    HI All

I hope you had a nice weekend?

Toffee apple - congratulations on reaching another important milestone and thanks for the link to the changing bag site. I hadn't come across this brand. Generally speaking I can't believe how much money you can spend on a changing bag! One tip a friend gave me was that back pack styles are quite good as when you don't have the buggy they're easier to carry while keeping your hands free and not trying to keep a tote bag on your shoulder. Also trying not to get sth too flower so the hubby isn't mortified carrying it  ;D Going to try to work on the big things first though then see how many pennies we have left!

My latest discovery is snuz cotbeds that can be adapted to last from toddler to approx. 10 years. Very cute too! https://www.snuz.co.uk/snuzkot/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwjpjkBRDRARIsAKv-0O0U6yIUI2gOacFfCWe58xNqW8gDSp8bSwtXBqYhcji8XOOxbtr0_R4aAu1NEALw_wcB

Better run but just wanted to send a quick reply.

Fairylight, if you're reading this, how are you? I had a moment of dawning yesterday that we hadn't heard form you for a while. I hope all is OK?

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

    xx

Janeliot - I have have seen the midwife today, Iím 29 w today , she said baby is very comfy and relaxed in there and was happy with everything.
I had a look in my book at the heart rate and itís was 129 guessing this is on the low side but Iím
Not concerned if midwife wasnít and not googling anything after what you have read. I hope your well today.
Toffee-Apple - Congratulations on your viability week! Yay!
Glad pussy cat is all ok now and well done you! Oh thatís so cute! Crazy cat baby I love that!
lol, I have ordered a silver cross changing bag to match my pram, but may get another one as well.

AFM - I am enjoying being in my 3rd Trimester at last yay! And had my midwife appointment this morning, all went well and midwife was happy with everything, she said baby was calm and moving around lots she could hear on the Doppler and that she was having a great time in there lol, I checked out of curiosity what her heart beat was and it was 129 so guessing she quit chilled.
Makes sense as I am a relaxed person generally lol. I had to make an appointment with my GP for 32 weeks and seems midwife again at 34 weeks and she mentioned I could bring daddy to be as we will be discussing birth plan etc. So thatís exciting!
Hope you all well and having a good Monday x xx

Just a quick one from me - I got the most awful fright today! I went for my BP check at the hospital  and as usual the midwife checked for the heartbeat and there was nothing! She moved it around and usually she finds it really quickly but still nothing. My heart literally stopped and I almost burst into tears! So she went and got the scanner quickly and there he was was happy as anything hiding by my right hip bone moving about active as anything! Once she located bubs she put the Doppler on him and I could hear the heartbeat straight away beating away at 142. Also went for my whooping cough vaccine today -my arm is still sore where the nurse jabbed me! Feel absolutely knackered after the stress of today xx

    Hi beautiful ladies,

Toffee oh my God, you must've been so scared!!!! I'm so glad bubba was fine and just hiding! You already have enough on your plate with your BP and everything else xx congratulations in getting to 24weeks xx

Janeliot did you end up having another scan? How are you? My midwife doesn't even tell me the heart rate, just like the others say I'm sure your baby is healthy and thriving xx

Mrsc so glad your midwife appointment went well and you are feeling so relaxed xx

Honeybee,  aley,  fairilight a big hello to you too xx

It's so nice to see how everyone is organizing the nursery and buying things! So exticing isn't it?
I had a 4d scan yesterday , couldn't believe how amazing it was! Such an emotional experience,  I cried the whole time! Baby is doing so good, he smiled for us . I'm 28+2 today. Baby changed position , he is complete breech now so maybe that's why suddenly he's movements were so different and so much lighter and rare.. I was getting worried but now I'm more relaxed.

    Big hug xx

    Hi everyone,

Oh Toffee - how traumatic - you poor thing. So glad she found it quickly afterwards. I don't know how you held it together. I would have had instantaneous waterworks! Sounds like he's already practising his hide and seek skills!

MrsC - Glad your MW appt went well yesterday too. Sounds like a little chilled bubba indeed  :)

Bossy - so glad you enjoyed your 4D scan and all is well. that must have been amazing. We have three NHS growth scans booked so I don't think we'll do any 4D ones. it must be amazing to see his little face though. Hope you're feeling well.

Aley - how are you? I hope you are starting to relax a bit more now that you have shared the good news with your family and don't have that anxiety hanging over you.

Janeliot - how are you doing my lovely. I know you still have so many things to contend with between the loss of your mum and the house move. Thinking of you. Did you make any progress on double buggies?

AFM - all fine here - had my 28w midwife appt this am. All good. Baby is transverse which explains the bulges at my sides  :)  MW says she's obv very comfortable in that position  :) Bump measuring normal and HB 130 so we're all fairly similar on HB from what I can see. Hope you're feeling less anxious about it now Janeliot? Saw a different MW and if I'm honest I found her a lot more personable. The other one was nice enough but I just didn't really warm to her. It transpires however that they're no longer running MW appts out of my local surgery so I had the choice of either staying with the same MW but going to a big hosp in the next town over which would be 20 min drive rather than 5, or moving to a children's centre in our town centre which si also a bout 5 mins away. So I've opted for the latter. I'll have a new midwife which I'm a bit nervous about but I have a good GP and have my consultant and growth scan appts as well so it's not like that's my only interface into the system so just going to run with that.

I think that's all for now. Hope everyone's doing :-)
    HB xx

    Hi ladies

mrscoyle-Congratulations on reaching your third trimester -did you find the second trimester went by quite quickly? Is your silver cross bag also pink? Meant to ask you have they said anything to you about needing to have a Levothyroxine review at the GP?

Bossy -How lovely you got to see baby on the 4D scan, sounds like it was an amazing experience. I have booked to have one end of the month so am looking forward to that, also want to make sure all looks ok before I go ahead and do my announcement (finally) on Motherís Day on social media.

Honeybee17- Glad your midwife appointment went well. Hope your new midwife is lovely, when do you get to meet her?

Aley & Janeliot hope you are both doing ok?

AFM things continue to be stressful, I took one of my cats to a dental specialist this morning & they thought he had an irregular heartbeat so they said they would listen again once he calmed down and if sounds the same they would scan his heart to see if itís thickening as itís risky to have anaesthetic in that case. So I spent 2.5 hours in a tea room blunting my eyes out convinced he has HCM. Luckily turns out it was just stressed and he is back home now with sparkling gnashers high as a kite. Also my MIL has finished her second round of chemo and it looks like she will have to have a bone marrow transplant. So waiting to see what happens regarding donor match ect.

Hope everyone has a nice evening
    xx

Toffee- Apple - That sounds horrid! so glad all was ok though phew! little rascal hiding! I haven't had that vaccine yet, how many weeks are you now?
I am 30 on Monday and I am going to have to have my Anti D vaccine next week as she has a different blood type to me.
Yes the 2nd trimester did fly by, and so is this one! cant believe i get to meet her in like 9/10 weeks! yes my silver cross bag is pink indeed lol! i love pink and luckily hubby doesn't mind it. So I had a midwife appointment on Monday and my consultant told me to tell the midwife to also check my thyroid at this appointment as she will be taking bloods anyway. So will wait and see how it is, i'm sure it will be ok, hopefully.

Bossy - So glad your 4D scan was fab, sounds like you got to see lots, I have also been feeling her a little less but the midwife on Monday said she is transverse with her back to my belly so explains why the movements have changed.

Honeybee - Glad all went well at your midwife appointment as well, I am with you on the transverse position, and her back is to my belly the midwife said although they still move around a lot at the moment apparently, I think i now when she got into this position as I have felt movements changed.
Im sure your new midwife will be lovely, I go to my local children's centre its very convenient its just a few mins walk round the corner.
Have you got your next midwife appointment? I am seeing mine next at 34 weeks and been told that other halves are invited to this appointment as this is when a plan is discussed and I was told to book with my GP at 31 weeks.

mrscoyle- Iím 24 + 4 weeks today. The midwife said at my booking in appointment they recommend to have the whooping cough vaccine between 16-32 weeks as apparently that covers your baby until their first jabs. I just rang my GP surgery & booked the appointment to get it done. Your bag & pram sounds lovely I love pink too but am worried if I go for a too girly changing bag everyone will think I have a girl not a boy lol. Hubby has already bought his own camo daddy bag at the baby show so he wonít be using mine. I am seeing the GP next week for a review for the Thyroxine as when I picked up my prescription in Feb they would only give me 1 months supply saying I was due for a review then when I rung the GP surgery they knew nothing about it🙄. Luckily I had a box left over when I transitioned from the fertility clinic to the GP surgery to tied me over else I would of run out of tablets!

Anyone else getting awful acid reflux? I have had it for the past few weeks-the back if my throat feels like itís permanently on fire!

    xx

    Hi everyone,

Toffeeapple - how are you? It sounds like you have a lot to juggle at the moment. How is you MIL and your cat? I remember the whooping cough jab. It really made my arm ache!! ;D Loving the sound of the camo daddy bag. Brilliant!  ;D

I second MrsCs comment about how quickly the time is now passing. I canít believe itís nearly the weekend again  ::) not that Iím complaining. March is our busiest time of year at work so Iím hardly coming up for air. The next two weeks will likely fly by. Then I have three days off, then two weeks back at work, then ten days off, two weeks back and then I finish. Yikes!! I have the 34 wk mw appt booked in although they didnít have a 40 min appt at a time I could make it so weíre doing it the following week instead. Hubby will come but heís been at most of the spots anyway tbh as if heís not on the ship heís not working. Iíll see the consultant at 33 weeks and 37 weeks and wondering at what point she will take a call on the planned c-section option as I read somewhere that at my hosp if youíre having a c-section they try to get you booked in by about 35 weeks. Weíll see.

Part of me keeps thinking Iím only 6.5 months Iíve got ages... then I think of all the things I have to do and realise that actually itís not very long at all!!! Need to get cracking with some of the house stuff. Will do some de-cluttering this weekend then start to make some enquiries about jobs weíd like quotes for before the baby arrives - donít worry no major house extensions etc (!) just carpentry etc!

Well dinner is cooking so Iíll say farewell for now  :) have a nice eve xx
