Hi everyone, hope you have the sun shining where you are and that you all all doing ok.

So sorry to read about your beta bloods Odashwood. Has there been any increase? So disappointing after getting so far. Hoping youíve had some more encouraging news.

AFM, I have finally got my protocol through from Reprofit and am planning when I can cycle (lucky cycle number 9! Canít say Iím not a trier... ).

Can anyone recommend somewhere in London for scans where they give the level of info you need and can email results pronto, but where the scans wonít cost more than my total Czech bill?! Thank you xx

Pickle, exciting, I am so so pleased you are trying again! I have everything crossed for you and I have real faith that your body can do it again as it has already done it once. Sorry, I never tried anywhere in London that will just scan you but am sure KatKat and Briss can advise.

ODashwood, really sorry to hear about your betas. It's so gutting to have your hopes dashed so early.

Helen, how are you doing after the MC? Have been thinking of you lots my lovely.

Klik, it's all getting so close now... is it around 6 weeks to go? Hope you are enjoying the classes, did you go for NCT or something else?

CatLady, good luck with starting your cycle. Wow, I'm so glad I didn't go to BH, we very nearly did as it's the closest clinic to us but in the end I wasn't convinced that they really knew how to handle DOR women and just wanted to put me on LP. It seems that was the case with you, I'm so sorry you had to go through that experience.

Just a little update from me, I'm now 14 weeks. We had the 12 week scan a few weeks ago and everything still looking fine and the combined tests gave a very low risk for all the trisomies so I've decided not to pay for any private NIPT testing. Still feeling pretty nervous until we get to 20 weeks and see more detail and we haven't told anyone yet as both of us still struggling to believe it's real or think more than one step ahead. I've literally only just booked 16 wk diabetes testing and midwife apts after receiving blood results as I didn't want to do anything before then and tempt fate. But feeling good physically, a lot of the exhaustion has gone and now sleeping a lot better. And still running... for a few weeks more at any rate and then I might consider a different form of exercise  ;D

Hope everyone has a lovely sunny bank holiday weekend xxx

Hi Shady, Iím doing ok thanks honey.

Just thought Iíd let you know that I went to see Dr Saridogan the other day. It was an expensive 20 minutes but worth it I feel. I had to the dvd of my last hysteroscopy which I had at Serum. He watched the video. He basically says he doesnít see any problem with my uterus. The ďinflammationĒ Serum noted he says wasnít inflammation but was a strawberry type area (it had a name and was something to do with strawberries but I canít remember) which he said looks like a strawberry textured skin and is normal. He said you can only test for inflammation with a biopsy and if he was to do that for me he would only prescribe antibiotics which Serum do anyway. He booked me in for an aquascan with some other recommended Dr who knows what heís doing and Iíll go the month I get my period. He also said the implantation cuts that serum do are something heís never seen before and he told me not to have them done again as they can cause adhesions. He wasnít impressed. He said that the Dr doing my aquascan is Greek and he will recommended a clinic for me if I want more treatment. He definitely didnít trust serum.
So anyway he basically said not to worry and donít spend any money on hysteroscopy. So letís hope the aquascan is ok.

My question now is what protocol to follow next transfer. As I always ovulate despite the estrogen I think I have to either A) down reg first to stop ovulation and do a regular FET estrogen protocol or B) do a natural cycle.
My worry with A is that Iím not sure my body likes so many artificial hormones and my worry with B is my lining has never got over 7mm on natural cycles...maybe I add in stims but can I do that last minute say day 9 after a scan of the lining looks too thin.

Iím writing this on a train and reception bad so going to post before I lose this message. Hi to everyone. Will write again later xxx

Hi, Iím back. Sorry I signed out of last message...just to add
Shady, itís so exciting. Youíve got so far! I can only dream of 14 weeks. Iím sure everything will be ok for you now xxx
Pickle, I go to ultrasound direct. Thereís a few in and around London. £135. Unfortunately I donít think thereís anywhere cheaper. Good luck for Reprofit, I like that clinic. X

Catlady, exciting that your cycle will get started soon. I contacted Dogus and they got back to me straight away with prices and even a protocol. It worries me a bit that they were so quick to send a protocol with only knowing very little about me. However the protocol wasnít too bad to be honest and as itís DE I suppose they donít need as much info about me. Their price is good though, 2500 for EA and thatís 3 embryos. Can I ask, do you pay 4500 for DE and itís the same price to do a tandem cycle as well or it is more on top for your own cycle? How will you decide whether to transfer your own embryos or the donors? Simply about quality?

Odashwood, sů sorry to hear about your betas not rising. Hope youíre ok.

Kilk - Thank you for the advice about the progesterone. My last cycle was a bit strange because I ovulated late, but I will make sure to let the clinic know about the spotting despite the progesterone and see what they suggest. Not long to go for you now! :) How are you feeling?

Helenbeau - Iím so sorry about your miscarriage, itís just heartbreaking. Iíve been thinking of you over the last few weeks. Iím pleased to hear that all looks well with your uterus. I do think a different approach may be needed next time. Are you going to go back to Serum? Iím having at least two more embryo banking cycles with OE then DE at the same clinic. Iím with CRGW, which has clinics in Swansea, Cardiff area and Bristol.

Pickle123 - The information they provided about the potential donor was height, build, hair colour, eye colour, occupation and interests.  Good luck with your next cycle! We may be cycling around the same time. Itíll be number 6 for me so Iím not far behind you!

Catladyttc1 - Good luck with your tandem cycle! It sounds a perfect compromise and Iíll be interested in seeing how it goes.

Odashwood - Iím so sorry to hear the news about your betas. Are you having blood tests every few days? I hope you have some answers soon x

Shadywheat - Iím so pleased everything is going well. I think I would probably be the same as you and just go with the regular tests and take each day as it comes x

Afm - Iíve had a lot to deal with lately, which has meant putting my fertility journey to one side. My dear Dad has cancer, which Iím heartbroken about. He is very stoic about it all, but I can see he is scared. So far it seems treatable, but heís awaiting the results of one final test before proceeding with treatment. The most important thing at the moment is that we are all there for him and we stay positive. Iíve also had a scare myself as I found a breast lump a week ago. The GP fitted me in the same day and confirmed the lump and referred me to the breast clinic as a priority due to my family history. I was in a complete spin and terrified that all these fertility drugs had caused a sinister growth. My treatment planning appointment was Tuesday and I couldnít say whether I could start treatment or not until the breast lump had been investigated. I just sat at the appointment like a zombie with DH having to do all the talking. The breast clinic advised they had a backlog and that they wouldnít be able to see me until the end of June, which would mean delaying IVF for 2 months if further investigations were needed. In the end DH and I paid to go private and I had an all the investigations done on Thursday. Thankfully the lump is a cyst, I have never been so grateful for a cyst! I can now start testogel and stimming the middle of June. Emotionally I feel a bit battered, but physically I think Iím ready to get back in the IVF horse.

Hi everyone back again with more time ☺️

Thanks babyhopeful, Iím looking forward to get going On this now. I have the drugs and the protocol itís all go. Last few days of injection freedom 🤣 I canít even imagine what youíve been through with the cancer scare and your dear father xx thoughts are with you. Glad you have the strength for the next round of IVF. Unless youíve done the journey no one can really comment. Friends and family donít get it which is why I havenít told them.

Helen, I think the protocol is standard for ED. Obviously theyíd tweak it once theyíd know your history. DE is Ä2500 I donít know how many eggs youíd get mind. I got the option of 3 donors and once chosen could start right away. Iíll try and update on the progress of the tandem as we get there.

    Odashwood hope youíre ok xx

Shady, glad the pregnancy is progressing well. Iím sure being nervous is normal. I know Iím going to be xx BH are a vile clinic. I wouldnít trust them as far as I could throw that ignorant consultant.

Iím off to go get some suntan lotion xx hope youíre all good xx

Hello all, back from South Africa/Botswana/Zimbabwe (which was just AMAZING)! Luggage didn't arrive for 2 days and it contained my malaria tablets so at the end it was fate and I didn't / couldn't take them. But I still can't do a transfer as have ovulated a week early whilst I was away and transfer would literally have been yesterday or so when I was on the plane :/ then next month it's jury duty etc etc  >:(

Anyways, still need to catch up on everything properly, but quick one for shady - wow you're that far along already!

Catlady, I will also follow your tandem cycle.. dogus looks quite reasonable. Do they offer international donors as I'm blond/fair etc rather than Mediterranean looking?

Babyhopeful, I am so very sorry to hear about your Dad and your scare. It's very sad and frightening but I hope your Dad will get through it without much difficulty and pain! I can really relate to you, one of my parents had to go through it a few years back (and came out well the other end) and recently another very very close family member got diagnosed which was an incredible shock for me!! All we can do is be there for them as best we can  ^hugme^

Hi Katkat, welcome back from an amazing trip! Hope youíre ok. Yes, I have blonde hair etc and was offered 3 donors and they all were from Europe either Eastern Europe or Great Britain xx I sent them a pic of me and the Mr so they had more of an idea of what we looked like. Nicosia has a huge university so I think their donors come from there. Northern Cyprus is also a hub for Eastern Europeanís and especially Russians nowadays. Iím looking forward to people watching the Russians. Iím such a bad person but they are amazing to observe 🤣🤣🤣
