An adopter's guide to adoption book
« on: 9/02/20, 14:32 »
When we started to think about adoption, I wanted to read about what the assessment was really like. I had lots of questions like what could we do to prepare ourselves, what was the prep course like, how did homestudy work, what is an adoption panel? I found lots of text books about parenting styles and issues adoptive children often face and stories from adopters about their journey, but nothing about the nitty gritty of what the assessment, placement and beyond is really like. "Life gave us the gift of you: An adopter's guide to adoption" does just that. It's a guide to adoption for anyone starting to think about it and wanting to find out what the process entails. It's available to buy from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Life-gave-gift-you-adopters/dp/1677659238/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Suzy+Stanton&qid=1581258573&sr=8-1
