Genetic compatibility testing for male when using egg donor

Hello,
We are due to embark on our first egg donor cycle with Instituto Bernabeu in Alicante. Can I ask out of those who have gone through egg donation cycles whether you opted to pay extra for the genetic compatibility testing for the father? It is £1100 and we wanted to find out how necessary this is. Many thanks.

I cycled in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and have never bothered with doing any test like this. I presume they’d be testing for a dq alpha gene match or something similar ?
