Safe and unsafe herbs for when ttc or pg....

I thought I'd put together a list of herbs and whether they can be used when ttc or pg. Many herbs are pretty potent so should be used with caution and a good idea is to speak with a qualified herbalist or homeopath as they will be best placed to advise you on exactly what herbs to take, specific to your requirements. Places like Neals Yard and Culpeppers often have very knowledgable staff as well.
Most clinics will advise against taking any herbal remedies when taking any prescribed fertility drugs so please do check with your clinic/consultant.

If you're interested in herbal medicines then an "easy to read" book is "Herbs for a Healthy Pregnancy - from conception to childbirth" by Penelope Ody.

Obviously I'm not a qualified herbalist and this is just information I've taken from several herbal books.

If anyone has any information on specific herbs not listed and would like the details added to the list then please send a PM (personal message) to either me (Minxy) or M J and we'll update the list....Thanks ^reiki^
