This is my third pg this year.  Since I took antibiotics that (may) cause birth defects, I'm concerned that I've had almost no abdominal cramps and twinges so far.  My other pg lasted until 8-1/2 weeks and I'm around 6.  Is it normal not to have any twinges by now, or were my other ones abnormal?  Doc said my hcg level was good, but last progesterone was a bit low.

Should I be concerned?

I do hope that this pregnancy goes to full term for you as you seem to have had a very difficult year. Regarding the twinges, every pregnancy is different and where in one, twinges become a daily occurrance, another you will experience none. I would not be concerned as you are still very early on in the pregnancy. The concern you seem to have regarding antibiotics, it is very unusual for them to cause birth defects and if prescribed by a doctor, will be fine. If you have any other worries, we are all here to help.
