Hi,

I'm quite new on here but I do read the forums for advice and inspiration.

I had a 3day transfer via icsi and hpt on the 7dpt and it was negative I've since tested from 10dpt convinced it would be negative but a faint line appeared, done some more to see if it was really happening and they are still showing but still faint, tested again this morning (12dpt) and the positive line came up within 3/4 minutes - still paler but you can def see it.
Has anyone else had this and gone onto to have a successful pregnancy? My test is in four days time.
I want to be excited but its been such a roller coaster I'm trying to keep myself together.

Symptoms- cramping, tired and lots of gas!

Hi frasper,
Am 10dp 5dt and I tested today (not morning urine) and it looked negative but if you look very closely there is a very faint line (unless its in my head) I am gutted as last time I got a clear positive at 8dp 5dt. I wish I didn't bother testing now but hoping line gets darker. I am going to test tomorrow with morning urine see that makes a differents. My OFD is 12/8/13. It's not blood test just a hot test.
I just wanted to write and say I am in a similar situation and understand how you must be feeling.

My symptoms= tired, achy breasts, slight cramping n full feeling in lower abdomen.

Congratulations cwelsh and Frasper! A line is a line no matter how faint it is. It only comes up if there's HCG so it's a positive! I tested at 9dp5dt and, like yours, mine was really really faint. Each test got darker though and he's now 2 years old.  :)

I've looked on other forums and lots have said that testing on the morning will give a better result! Good luck cwelsh, let me know how you get on! ^goodluck^

Hi niccad! I think because I'm so nervous about getting my hopes up, I've heard stories of false positives/chemical pregnancies etc. But really I should just relax. ::)

This icsi business is a blessing but such an emotional, frantic time. I'm glad there are forums such as these!

I've been getting that full feeling in lower abdomen too, like a pulling and needing the loo.

Hi Frasper - your trigger shot was too long ago for it to be a false positive. Any pregnancy can go wrong, and chemical pregnancy is the same as an early miscarriage - it's still a pregnancy. Enjoy the feeling while you can. The stick said YES!!! ^clapping^
.. and I don't think there's any such thing as relaxing when pregnant after fertility treatment. I asked my doctor when I could relax and accept it was all fine. His response 'when the baby is in your arms'!!
Good luck xx

I know that morning urine is best time to do it but I didn't get the test till later that morning and couldn't wait plus I thought since it was 10dpt I thought it would pick it up. The test was very very faint, barley noticeable but I can see it. I just hope and pray it gets darker. It sounds like your pregnant frasper, a massive congratulations :)
I  know what you mean, it's so frustrating and a constant emotional roller coaster , am sure you agree niccad that its all worth it in the end. Thanks for your reply and sharing your sucess story with us.

Sending sticky vibes your way x

Hello... When I did my test I did it as I was bleeding heavily. It came up negative and I was on the floor sobbing my heart out that it was over. After about 20 minutes I got up and went to throw the test in the bin... and that's when I saw the faintest line in the world. I thought it was my imagination so did another test an hour later (after having nothing to drink - thinking that would make it more concentrated). Don't compare your results to last time - You've got a positive and you and Frasper are both pregnant!! YIPPEE!! x

Thanks for your reply. I suppose am just conparing this FET to my last. I got a strong positive 8dp 5dt in evening. That's sadly ended in a early miscarriage.
Am just hoping n praying that this is our turn.
Thanks again for sharing your story. Am so glad all worked out well for you. That must have been a scary experience. Thanks again :) I will remain positve and act like pregnant till proven other wise. X

Hi,
Sorry to jump in on your conversation but I am in a similar position. I am 11dp3dt.

Over 3 days I have done 5 hpts. First one was bfn. But the other 4 have had the 2 lines there. The first one you could only see if you held it up to the light and really looked, but they seem to be getting darker, at a snails pace lol.

I'm just so nervous to tell me dp as I don't want to be wrong. I no they say a line is a line but these are what I would say are rly faint.

I guess I just can't believe that there is a possibility it could have worked

Hi Tiny.toni

I completely understand what you are saying, its terrifying. You hust want to know for sure etc. I tested yesterday for 1st time 10dp5dt there was a very faint line, almost invisible had to look at it in light in different angles etc. I thought to myself is it all in my head because I want it to happen so bad. I tested again this morning with first urine and the lines is there and alot darker than yesterday but it's still light if that makes sense. I can't believe I actually got my BFP, it's so hard not to get excited but after last time I know I can't. I hope he/she sticks on in there for the next 9months and all is well.
So what am trying to say is like you said yourself a lines a line and it will get darker in time. It sound promising so I believe a congratulations is in order.

Frasper I got my clearer BFP, it defo there :D . Thanks for the baby dust

Wishin lots of baby dust to you both

Hi ladies, congratulations xx just wanted to add my story. With my first 2 pregnancies HPT's were strong lines pretty much straight away. Sadly as you can see from my signature these were not meant to be. This time got a faint barely there line 13 dpo which didn't darken by 17dpo. I thought chemical as was virtually symptomless aswell. Anyway I'm now 20 weeks with my ' chemical ' and little one is kicking away. Darkness of lines means nothing nor do lack of symptoms. All the best xxxxx

Hi Simz, did you have a trigger shot and it so, when? If you had HCg trigger then there's a possibility that you're still seeing residual HCG from the shot. If you have tested a day or two before this and got no line you could be reasonably certain the trigger it out your system and it's your body making the HCG but without that benchmark it's hard to be certain.
The only way to be sure is to re-test in a day or two and see what happens.

For what it's worth, I was the queen of early testing. ;D But when I cycled  two ladies outdid me and tested every day of their 2ww; they said it made them less stressed about OTD which I can understand. Both of them went on to get BFPs and they watched the HCG line get fainter and disappear as the trigger left their system, and then slowly reappear and get thicker/darker as the HGC their pregnancies were making took over. If memory serves me well, the earliest either of them got a genuine line was 7dp3dt. I have also heard of people getting a line 6dp5dt. In both these cases this would be around 11/12 days past trigger jab. The earliest I saw a BFP was 9dp2dt,  but then that was about the earliest I tested on that cycle.

Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,

Congratulations cwelsh!  ^clapping^

I went for my actual test today at the hospital and it came up strong positive! Still shocked!! know its early days but wow.

Hi Simz, I agree with Caz, try again in a few more days, I was testing like a mad woman and kept getting negative and I was stressed by it so I left it, by day 7 I had the faintest of faintest lines so put it down to trigger etc-  By 10dpt the lines were getting darker. Basically I should have just relaxed and got on with it. Its so hard to not resist though!

Good luck to everyone  ^goodluck^
