My husband and I have been ttc for 6 months, and I have PCOS.  As far back as I can remember, I've had very heavy periods.  This one, though, has been so light I have not even needed any protection.  This has never happened before.  I started metformin back in August and this has shortened my cycle, although the first 3 on metformin were what I regard as normal.  This af has lasted 7 days - 1 more than normal.

Any ideas?  I've been absolutely exhausted lately - has this got something to do with it?  My last 2 afs were abnormally heavy.  Any help would be appreciated.

I've tried a test but it was negative but I'm not sure either if it is too soon to test.

They do say it can take up to 3 months for metformin to kick in so this is what you might be seeing. If you are still feeling unwell, then it may be worthwhile contacting your GP to have a quick checkup. If the previous bleeds were so heavy then you may have a mild form of anaemia.
