Hi,
I really want to advise you ladies that if you ever have a cervical polyp discovered at the time of a smear test, please refuse to have your smear done. My practice nurse and GP took a smear when they were well aware that I had an endocervical polyp. My smear came back as abnormal which the gynaecologists are not surprised about as I had a highly inflamed polyp. What this does mean is that I will now be recalled for a smear and it is highly unlikely that the clinic will allow me to cycle in the Summer as planned. I have been told that the polyp must be removed and the cervix given time to heal prior to taking a smear. Just wanted to save others from the unnecessary stress!
Love Prija
