Sorry to add to a list of questions about periods, but I am really worried.  My periods have always been pretty regular, and usually it turns up 13 days after ovulation without fail (unfortunately).  As  you can see from my signature, I had IVF (failed) in Feb, and a mc last september.  Even since both of those, my AFs have been pretty regular.  I do suffer from endo but apparently its innactive.

You can imagine my shock then, when (having tested with an OPK) I ovulated on Monday of this week, then my AF turned up this morning!  That's only 4 or 5 days since I should have ovulated!!! I've never heard of a luteal phase this short, and I'm really worried not that there is something badly wrong.  We have pretty much resigned ourselves to the fact that we may not have any more children, but we are still trying naturally.  Is this the beginning of the end?  Is this menopause?  Is it something more worrying?  I'm really scared.

Please help!

Hi hun ^hugme^
I would suggest going to see your GP about it, and see if they wish to run any b/w ;)
I've been similar since October last year, and my GP requested b/w to check my thyroid. I'm in a bit of flap in case it's the beginning of the menopause for me too :-\
It might ease off hun, mine usually does, and sometimes spotting again and then nothing til af is actually due :-\
Sorry am not much help, but wanted to let you know you're not on your own ^hugme^
Let us know how you get on :-*
Lotsa love

Hi Amanda

It could be down to having low progesterone??  I am the same I did a progesterone test which showed I had ovulated and then 6 days later I got my period.  Am going to see a fertility specialist in June and will discuss everything then but I have heard it could be down to low progesterone.  Have you had your progesterone tested?

Thanks!  I'm not sure if I have low progesterone or not.  Been a long time since I've had any tests like that.  Been to GP and had some bloods done today, plus a vaginal swab so may have a few answers later this week.  I'm just worried cos I didn't respond very well to IVF drugs and my mum's periods stopped when she was 32 (following the removal of one of her ovaries and both tubes cos of endo).  Just very concerned.  Appreciate your advice tho, thank you.
