Yonny,

Hi there, i know a great acupunctuist who specilises in fertility, gynae probs and pregnancy, but she only practises in Oxford or london.

I travel 45 mins from Northamptonshire to see her so imagine it'll be about the same type of journey for you.

Her website is www.naturechild.co.uk, she is away on holiday for the next week though.

Good luck!!

Hi
Does anyone know of a good acupunturist in Hertfordshire. I am having FET in 4 weeks time and would like to see someone prior to that. I am having trouble finding anyone - the first contact I tried does not treat private patients (I can't face trying to get an NHS refferal  - my GP is not very  helpful) and the nd contact has not returned my messages.
The acupuncture "official body" (can't remember what they are called) sent me a list which would have been helpful but it was for Herefordshire not Hertfordshire. I would like to avoid going into London if possible and would love to go to someone who has been recommended.

Thanks in advance

Hi Crusoe

Where abouts in hertfordshire are you ?  I live in East herts and I go to an accupuncture clinic in chelmsford.  Sounds like a long way but only takes 35 mins in the car !

One of the FF girls on here recommended a clinic in Hitchin called the Natural Therapy Centre on the high street.  Holly (who works at Zita West's clinic) was doing maternity cover but not sure she still is. Julie Tant was the other name.

I didn't go as it was too far for me to travel so am not speaking from personal experience.  You might find some more recommendations on the thread if you search?

Hi There

I am looking to do acupuncture before my next ICSI treatment and wondered if anyone has any recommendations of acupuncturists that deal with fertility issues between Oxford and Swindon.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks.

Hi Chezza

I have just started going to a lady in Oxford for acupuncture. I initially found Jani White's website, jani is based in oxford but her clinic days didnt suit me so I phoned her and asked for a recomendation. Janis website is www.naturechild.co.uk. If you want the details of my lady then shout. She is based in Botley, Oxford.

Hi,

A friend in Swindon is trying to find an acupuncturist who has experience of dealing with IVF / infertility issues.  Does anyone have one who they have used or would recommend?

Thanks very much for your help.

Hi

If you use the search facility on this website (try advanced search so only looking on this Complementary Therapies board), you may find that someone has already recommended an acupuncturist in the area you're looking for.

You can also search for registered practitioners in local area on some websites included in this "sticky" thread which is in the main section of Comp Thera board called "A-Z of Complementary Therapists"...

http://www.fertilityfriends.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=34117.0

I found my acupuncturist this way...phoned up a few in local area and asked them some questions about their experience working with women with fertility issues/having IVF etc...I've been with mine for over 2 years now !

Good luck

Hi Ladies

I think i've asked this before but i've lost the information ( ^bigbad^).  Can any of you recommend an accupuncturist locally that specialises in womens health?  I have called a company in Witney call The Anderson Clinic, there is a lady there who apparently specialises in womens health called Helen Pingel (sp) and they offer a free 1/2 hour consultation to discuss issues and whether she believes she can help...  I really am out of my depth with this one as I don't really know where to start.  My initial issues which I want to address are endo related, basically unless i'm filling my body with hormones I bleed (some of you know I bled for 10 months after having A).  I currently have the coil fitted but want to have it removed in June to start work on whether diet, excercise and acupuncture can help with my endo probs then would like to think we could try naturally once the bleeding is under control.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

Bev, I see a lady in Botley and she is fab :) She is part of a group locally who specialise in treating fertility issues along with pregnancy and childbirth.

I would highly reccomend her - I attribute our success in the 2nd cycle partly to her. Let me know if you want her details.
