hello,

was just wondering is it too early for me to start swimming,im 14wks and my midwife does a class of aqua-aerobics for mums to be,is 14wks too early to start.Also i fancied doing yoga and was going to purchase a dvd for mums but as i have never been one for exercise is it too late to startand will it do any harm. :)

Hi,

Usually we say you need to be around 16 weeks onwards to start aqua aerobics, but see what your midwife recommends.  Be careful with the yoga, if you aren't used to doing exercises, you are more at risk of injuring yourself, as your ligaments and muscles are softer in pregnancy, so just take it easy.
