For my last IVF I was put on Prednisolone (steroids), but I just noticed on my FET protocol that the pred has been replaced with Pentoxifillyne. I'll ask why when I get chance, but just wondered if anyone had used it and their experiences? As far as I can see, it's not a steroid so bit confused...

Just wanted to add that I don't have lining issues and I've noticed this is often prescribed for lining as it increases blood cirulation. Care are gonna be sick of me calling them to question my protocol!

its mainly used to boost blood flow to the lining for ladies with thin lining but its also a bit anti-inflammatory too so it may reduce NKs and TNFa in the uterus... studies on mice suggest a reduces miscarriage rates but its not so clear for humans.  if you go to the yahoo reproductive immunology group I think they have/had an info file about it?

Just wanted to update this thread to say this drug WASN'T prescribed instead of steroids. Care made another mistake missing the steroids off. They also erroniously prescribed two intralipids before FET when I only need one. It's been a catalogue of errors really (too many to list) so we're going to make a formal complaint. Just didn't want anyone to think this drug was used to treat NK activity instead of steroids.
