Hi

I'm doing my second cycle of IVF at the mo - long protocol with gonal-f. Today, I've been for my first scan since I started stimming and was told that I have about 6 follies around 14mm on my right ovary, and 2 follies around 10mm on my left ovary - today is day 7 of stimms.

My e/c was initially scheduled for next Friday, but the nurse said it could be brought forward to Wednesday given the size of the follies - I'm pleased that I'm responding well, but concerned that if e/c does go ahead on Weds, I'll have only been stimming for 10 or 11 days - d'ya think this is long enough for the follies to mature properly?

I'd love to hear how long you stimmed for and how many eggs you got....

H Annabell,

I have just finished my second IVF (currently on 2WW).  I too was on Gonal F and stimmed for just 10 days in total - at EC we got 12 eggs.  Of the 12 eggs, 9 were mature - only 6 fertilised but we actually got 4 to blast out of the 6 so a very good result.

Hi Snoflake

Thanks for letting me know about your egg crop...sounds like you have one or two really good ones on board. Congratulations on being PUPO - when is OTD? - sending lots of  ^reiki^ your way. It's interesting to hear that some of your eggs were immature though - that's what I'm worrying about...especially as we only had 50% fertilisation last time, so need as many viable eggs as possible! This seems quicker than last time when I was on the SP with menopur....hey ho, I guess we just have to trust the experts...although that's not that easy when you're a control freak like me  ::)

Best wishes to you x
