Hi

I have twins who are always getting coughs and have tried tixilix, benalin and a couple of others, does anyone know if there is a decent kids cough mixture out there?

Hi Lorraine,

Im a childrens nurse in hospital and im afraid we never use cough mixtures and to be honest we do not really recommend any!!

That is not to say that none of them are any good but im sorry to say i don't know of any,

If you are undualy concerned about your twins coughs lingering then you may need to have a visit to your gp!!

Hiya Lorraine

I have to agree with Verity on this one..the only one I would suggests is a honey/ glycerin based one.

As Verity says..a child with a lingering cough should always be reviewed by their GP.

Also, make sure that their bedrooms are not too stuffy with the central heating/ heaters being on at this time of year.
