Georgia - good luck with your next test, you will be missed
Marsel - Congrats on your BFP
Tyler - We may be very close cycle buddies after all. When I had my scan yesterday they saw what looked like a follicle on my right ovary. I was given a trigger injection and a prescription to bring on AF - but when the results of my bloods came through they decided that I should just continue sniffing and come back Fri when they hope I can start stimming. When do you start?
Paranoid - I was at the clinic yesterday and it was completely mad. I was there for about 2 and a half hours. I think I may have sat in you chair for a short time at one stage. Were you sitting next to the door with your mother?
Congratulations to recent BFPs.
Georgia, I know how you feel. Hope things get better.
We're not having much luck at the moment. FET cycle was cancelled for the second time last month as progesterone level didn't rise enough at first (despite double cyclogest) and then went way too high after gestone. This month I've just been told lining not thickening and need viagra. Never had a problem with the lining before. It's just so upsetting. New problems seem to pop up from nowhere and it feels like it's never going to happen for us.
Has anyone else used viagra. Any side effects or success stories?
Georgia - hope the rest from here does the trick and you'll be back soon. Thinking positive, orange thoughts for you.
Paranoid - well done with the blood tests and great news that you'll know what protocol you'll be on. Hopefully, you'll be able to enjoy your birthday to the full. It's mine on thursday - it'll be a very sober affair as I'm currently tea total, could really do with a lovely glass of red wine though!
Marsel - once again, massive congratulations to you, enjoy!
Layla & Martha - hope the stimming is continuing to go well. I'm hoping to be there myself soon, if af ever arrives that is.
Thelma - I hope you feeling better today, it's awful when you get those blue days, but try and stay positive, as Tiggy says, there's no reason why it can't work for you. Sending you .
Tyler - are you still feeling tired? Hope you've got more energy today. What day of d/r are you on now? Hope you're not feeling too awful.
Lol, Soph and Zuzi - how's the 2ww coming along. Hope you aren't going to crazy, lots of to you all.
Hello to each and everyone else, so sorry if I haven't mentioned you but you are all in my thoughts. Hope you are all doing well.
I'm still waiting for my af to arrive, it's so frustrating. I can't get the thought out of my head that this d/r hasn't worked for me as I'm having so few side effects. I just want af to come so I can find out and hopefully move onto the next stage.
Did anybody else have delayed af when d/r. I'm usually fairly regular - between 27 and 30 day cycle is the norm. I'm on day 31 today. I know it sounds like I'm being dramatic, but my last two cycles have been 27 days, so 31 days feels like quite a delay. I am getting cramps, but have been for the past few days now. I called ARGC this morning and they said the sniffing can delay af by up to a week , I certainly hope it's not going to be that late.
Euston - sorry things aren't going you're way at the moment. I'm sure Abbey used viagra and she got a BFP, so it can work. Good luck.
Thank you for all your warm thoughts it does mean so much to me.Last night we finally came to a conclusion and am proud to tell you that I am going to be a mummy of a ickle chocolate labrador pup who will be ready for me 3rd Sep.This has cheered me up soo much.So any ideas what we can call her ?
Lisa- hope you AF arrives soon my dear. is it worth, dare i say (and not to get your hopes up), but just on the million to one chance, trying a pg test? i am sure d/r has worked, i didnt have any massie side effects. Good luck. (an af dance for you!)
Euston, sorry things seem to be so difficult and against you starting the next tx. Viagra does the trick for the lining! it can give you headaches, but this goes after a few days, nothing to worry about, just a bit weird saying you are taking viagra- it certainly doesnt make you feel like more ...! Wishing all the luck in the world.
Georgia - so pleased you are going to get a little pup - how about Baby Tango or Satsuma (maybe not so suited to a choccy brown lab but will bring on good vibes!)
Lisa - I was a few days late after sniffing, don't panic - this is a sign that your downregging has worked
Euston - I can sympathise with you - I had one FET cancelled due to dodgy progesterone but you are now on your 3rd month you poor thing - I went on to a medicated FET cycle with Progynova (HRT tablets) and I was sniffing - have they suggested this? I think Viagra is often suggested - I really hope things sort out and next month is the one for you - I know how difficult it is to be patient when all you want to do is get started - thinking of you.
holly - really good luck with this cycle
2ww girls - I hope you are keeping sane - thinking of you
Paranoid - look at Marsel - ANOTHER humira success story - this should really encourage you. hope you are ok
Carmela - are you still having probs logging on? hope you and the twins are well - i braved a ticker!
Megan - nearly there! good luck with the birth and looking forward to your news and a photo of your new bundle!
Georgia - great to hear about your new labrador pup - sounds v. cute. I know what you mean about not posing at the moment - I am finding it all very difficult at the moment too with my missed treatment and just the heavy burden of wondering if we will ever be parents.
Congrats to Marsel - great to hear of another BFP!
Hi to the 2ww'ers. Hope you are not going too insane and you all get your BFPs soon.
Euston - how frustrating to wait so long to try and get to FET. I have heard viagra can help - I hope it gets sorted out soon and you can start.
Lisa - down regging definitely makes AF late - hopefully will be here soon.
Paranoid - hope your TNFa levels have dropped and you can get started.
Hello to everyone else.
My AF arrived today so its back on the rollercoaster again - hopefully I will actually get to cycle this month. Will be taking OPKs and blood tests this month to ensure the ovulation is picked up. So p*ssed off and thinking about just going straight for DIVF next month! Fed up of waiting so long for my baby - by rights i should be a mummy twice over by now and it just gets to you occassionally. Sorry whinge over.
Hi to everyone.
Marsel - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is fantastic news
Martha, Lorri - thank you very much for your welcome
Thelma - hi, try to stay positive, not long to go, thinking of you and sending
Lol, Soph - good luck, sending you
Hi to Tyler, Wisbabe, GM, Abbey, Georgia, Tiggy, Fiffi
Paranoid - thinking of you and good luck with your immune bloods (I had nk raised, had ivig)
Lisa - Happy Birthday for Thursday, my testing is on that day, hope your af arrives soon
I have 3 days to go, trying to stay positive. I am studying with Open University and have essay to write, cant concentrate and bring myself to do it. This is all new to me so if I made mistakes - sorry.
It is very nice to talk to you about all this. Thank you
Did any of you read the comments on the BBC website about IVF http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/talking_point/4155684.stm. Some of them really drove me mad like calling treating infertility a selfish act!! Sorry, but some people do not really understand what it means to not being able to have children!!!
Fiffi, I followed the link and started to read what people had to say but felt so annoyed I had to stop (don't think it helps being as hormonal as I am). I just can't believe the ignorance and lack of compassion out there. Grrrrrr
Hope all's well with everyone today. Georgia, I agree with Tiggy - could your pup have an orange-themed name?
GRRRRRR - I've only just had a quick peek and seen this comment
IVF should not be made available on the NHS, in the same way that cosmetic surgery isn't. Having babies is not a medical emergency it is a lifestyle choice and as such this treatment should not place any burden whatsoever on the tax payer.
Steve, Liverpool, England
...Fiffi you are so right, I read it and felt furious that people could be so ignorant to the heartache of it all.
Thanks everyone for your re-assurances. I've just had a session of acupuncture during my lunch break, so I'm hoping it will help things along.
Abbey, I really don't think I am pg as I did a test on day 26 (first response) and of course, it was negative. I'm just being a pit paranoid and a bit impatient.
Zuzi, I hope the 18th is lucky for you. I will certainly be thinking of you on thursday and hoping you get a positive.
Georgia, the chocolate labrador sounds beautiful, I think tiggy's name suggestions should be seriously considered.
Tina, I really hope you manage to catch ovulation this month, it's so disheartning to be have to delay things, but hopefully you'll have better luck this time round.
Thanks for all you messages....
I walk around with huge grin on my face but still can hardly believe it/
Went to ARGC this morning... it was very busy. Done my HSG levels again and NK cells....??
They called 5 min ago to tell me that my levels are raising but they are bit slow...Yesterday they were 364 and today 576.They want me to repeat them on Thursday.
This got me really worried since I understand they should be doubling, shouldn't they??/
Any thoughts/or experience with HCG levels
I had one m/c at very early stage 3 years ago..was not even aware that I was pregnant..so getting very worried that it might happen again?
Lisa - my last AF was delayed for whole week as result of down reg.
I know how frustrating it is since my AF is normally 28-29 days...I tried to plan my cycle .. EC...ET and then AF was whole week late and messed up everyhing but as you can see it was all worth-ed in the end.
Do not worry... it means sniffing is working...
Paranoid - I know you are still struggling with immune stuff....Humira affected me really badly but reduced TNF levels significantly after just 2 injections. However I had it 3 months ago..so I think Mr.T might decide to tests TNF levels soon again. So please stay positive...when will you have your results
Georgia- I would love a pup too..Perhaps once we move into new house.
I am sure it will make you feel better.
Ifinch , Holly B..-stay and positive...thanks for your messages.
Tiggy - agree with you about comments on BBC website....Stupid ,ignorant people..
Got Zita West vitamins...how are you?//
Wisbabe - well done for sending message to BBC ....they should hear about IVF from someone who has actually gone throught it
