sorry to post this!  :-\
yesterday i got a fairly strong line on my ovulating predictor kit - i had also had vague period like pains. But, i don't have the accompanying cervical mucus that you should have. is this because i need to leave it a couple of days as the ovulating predictor kit tells you that you are releasing lh rather than at the ovulating stage? should i wait a couple more days to see if things change? :p
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks eva x

If the opk says you are surging then go for it as ovulation occurs between 24 and 36 hours later and it is good to have sperm in the system. You don´t always see mucus until after ovulation has occured and that is what I´ve seen when doing inseminations on ladies.

thanks ruth!  :)
i also read that cervical mucus is massively important in getting the sperm to the right place and without the good type of egg white mucus that most will probably die.

Bear in mind that alot of mucus stays where it is needed which is at the cervix and won´t be seen straight away.
