Hi, seems my 2 IVF cycles have both ended in chemical pregnancies.
I have followup appt with consultant next week and have been drafting war and peace to ask him, does anyone have any advice? Or experience of this?
Thanks
Hi BBW,
First, I would like to say I am sorry for your 2nd chemical pregnancy. I would definitely have a killer cell test done. I have read about lots of people only getting their babies after being on steroids for the first 3 months.
I have had 3 failed ivf's previously and my consultant had me do extra tests. It turned out I have a very high killer cell count and so I have been taking a steroid called prednisolone since day 7 of stimms and guess what - I am finally pregnant on my fourth ivf! I am convinced that despite some controversy around steroid use, that it is what made the difference for us.
Definitely ask about it!
Good luck,
windward
Thanks for your reply Windward, so pleased you have finally had success!
Can I ask when you had your test for killer cells, was it anytime or straight after #3?
