Hi there

i am about to start down reg for 2nd ICSI cycle in about a wek and half and had a day 6 scan which showed endo cysts. I only had lap and dye in Jan when adhesion in my tube were separated. Anyway since feb have had a mid cycle bleed which I put down to ovulation, this last month have had bleeding since day 19 brown spotting/ some spots red v. light to significant. This seemed to go into a normal ish AF though now seem to have brown spotting again.

My question is, is the cysts causing this bleeding? When I had chocolate cysts that ruptured before my excrutiating pain was during AF and though I have pain then I now also get pains around ovulation and any other time it feels like it. I didn't get bleeding thoughout the month then t just seemed to stop me ovulating and I had v long cycles.

Does anyone have any ideas? Just when you thinkyou know what your body does it all seems to change.

They have already been told me I will need a larger dose of stim during this cycle due to less ovarian tissue. Just getting worried.

I have chocolate cysts! Just had an appointment with Fertility specialist and just found out I have another endometrioma!!! 4 cm!  Just had a lap to remove endo and cysts in March 2008!!!! how frustrating but doctor said to take zoladex for 3 months then to do IVF! still its not going to make the cyst any smaller! just shrink the endo if there is any! this is so annoying now im wondering if this cyst is going to affect IVF success rates??

when do you start your IVF?

Hiya Dianna

I have endo cysts well i dont know if i have them now but i did prior to my ivf cycle
I had 6 months of zoladex prior to starting IVF

prior to this i always had pains from ovulation until after my AF some days worse than others and my cycles were always a lot shorter

not sure if this helps or not

Hi,

Same here - had 2 8cm cysts drained in Oct last year and then 4 months of Gonapeptyl (like Zolly) before starting IVF.

I was on 5 amps of Menopur each day for stims which I think is quite high.

Cysts refilled during tx and they are both approx 4cm now which seems to be freaking out my antenatal team!

Hi Karen

Wow that is interesting so whilst you were doing IVF the cysts had returned?  I am just mad that mine returned so soon after my lap!  I just hope it will not lower my chances as I am going ahead with IVF after the 3 months zolly!

Thanks for the replies, it is mad how quickly these cysts can return. When I had my ruptured chocolate cyst the pain and cysts came back so quickly ( few months) it ended up in me having my ovary removed (it had turned into a giant cyst instead of an ovary).  I had the zolodex after my second op for 6 months. Then first IVF although landed up waiting about a year, by they thought I had a hydrosalpinx. Ifound out that it's been a blocked tube from adhesions. The thing is while I had the blocked tube I didn't have cysts but as soon as it is unblocked the cysys return. It seems as if the adhesions stopped the blood etc flowing back up the tubes and destroying my ovary.

Why is life such a pain!
