hi  one of my 10 month old girls flaps her hands/arms loads!!!! when excited or stressed is this normal for her age do people think??
her sister does not do the same
thoughts appreciated

I would think that, in the absence if any other worrying signs or symptoms, this is totally normal.

If there is anything else that seems very different to you (i.e. odd when compared to her sister) or the flapping seems involuntary and out of control, you could have a chat with your GP. But this is considered quite common in youngsters of her age, right up to school age sometimes.

Even now I sometimes don't know what to do with my arms when I'm excited!  ^jumpin^

Ed flaps too!!! often hitting himself in the face in the process!!!!

F doesn't "flap" but he does the "can I, can I, can I, can I .... can I" and we have to tell him to slow down and think about what it is he wants to tell us.

Excitable things are these children!  ::) ;D

Grace flaps when excited and squeals - loudly  ;D ;D

She also now runs around in a circle thumping her feet - hours of amusement!!
