Hi,

I am 9 weeks pg and thinking of having a CVS test, does anyone know if being pg with twins complicates the procedure? Also, in the terrible scenario that one twin had a serious abnormality can they terminate just one embryo safely? (they are in two sacs).

Thanks

Congrats on the twins!!
Have you considered a nuchal scan rather than CVS? It is non- invasive and can be done at 12 weeks.
Twins shouldn´t complicate the procedure of CVS but there is a risk of losing both if fetal reduction is carried out, though that risk is small.
It´s a difficult decision to make and wish you all the best whatever you decide.
