Hi

i feel really stupid 

I am 2 weeks post op at present had lap removal of endometriomas

I thought the removal of endometriomas was the cystectomy but a friend said that isnt the case a cystectomy involves the bladder??

I have had bladder probs all year and now i really dont know what i have had as i wasnt even seen by a dr before discharge

Discharge letter just says left cystectomy and laser of endo

I see my gp tomorrow as possible infection and dont want to be looking as stupid as Makosi on BB!!

Hello!

Friends can talk complete an utter crap - you are not stupid. Cystectomy just means removal of a cyst! In the case of endo your op will probably have involved drainage of a chocolate cysts but may have involved complete removal of cyst or removal of a cyst from within the ovary - that's what you need to ask your doctor for clarification.

Went to see gp, he said as far as he knows the cystectomy would be the ovary, but cant tell me exactly what because he hasnt received op report yet or discharge letter either.

As soon as he knows he will let me know.
