Hey everyone

i haven’t been on here in ages. Not since my last failed IVF where we had no frosties

anyway to cut a long story short. Upon our review appt our consultaant said our recent bfn’s could be due to egg quality. So they recommended DHEA. We are due to do ivf again possibly July or September this year.

So my question is has anyone had a better egg quality/quantity after taking dhea ?

Hi Dee, I have better quantity but not quality. Unfortunately my reserves were very low and we only got 3 eggs first time, 2 of which were immature. After taking DHEA and CoQ10 for a few months we tried another round. That time we got 6 eggs but unfortunately none of these fertilised.
I wonder if they did a blood test after taking DHEA for a while, would it reflect an increase in egg quantity? Might be worth asking as it would be cheaper than forking out for another round of ivf.
