Does pregablin medication affect sperm quality

Hi,

My DH has just been prescibed Pregablin medication to help with the pain in his back and legs following back surgery (microdisectomy). He had a review with his consultant the other day, and he has basically said that he can't do anything more for him, surgically, and he will have to manage the pain however possible, so looks like he will be taking this medication for some time, especially as it is helping greatly. We were just concerned that it would affect his sperm quality, as he will be having a Surgical sperm recovery in the next couple of months in preperation for our treatment.

Has anyone had any experience of this?

Hi pinkbabe,

Pregabalin can can sexual side effects but there is no information in the listed side effects that it actually effects sperm production. As far as I can tell it should be fine to take prior to the SSR op. Hope all goes well  ^reiki^

Many thanks Maz, we have booked for his SSR in 5 weeks anyway just in case.
