Hi Girls, was hoping you wouldn't mind if i joined you, i have both endo and pcos but the endo is main prob at mo.  Just needed a moan and hoped you would accomodate me   
That dreaded time is coming to me, my AF is on its way, and the pain is too much to bear sometimes (i know i sound soft) my doc just prescribed me the pill (dianette), how this is susposed to control the pain i'll never know plus she's cutting off my chances of getting pg.  The reasoning behind, this she says is that i won't conceive between now and when we are offered icsi, therefore 'what harm can it do'
I have a day now to decide weather to take the pill or not but what am i left with if i don't I'm so confused 
can anyone help

Sorry that ur endo is playing u up again, i too am an endo and pcos lady and know how frustrating one or the other condition can be

I have had dianette in the past but not for several years, i dont get on well with the pill and it keeps being offered and i keep refusing it !!

U r so right it takes away the chance of pg occuring it is a tough decision to make hunny.

I am treatment free atm from both an endo and a IF point of view, and am coping ok, and for someone who previously in 3 years who couldnt cope without the zoladex this is pretty encouraging altho i wouldnt suggest u taking that before trying out the icsi

Have they given a timeframe for the icsi, i would say if its only a couple of months best to try and persevere with the endo, not saying u should however that is just how i would play it.

Hi all,

its the first time I write here,..
I also have endo (moderate) and I Had my laparoscopy at 2004..
since then we tried for a baby but cause my hubby studies in Glasgow and I live in Athens it was difficult for us to meet..
So, last Christmas we had our first IVF..I had 11 eggs, 9 mature enough and 6 were fertilized grade 1 all..we had 2 transfered and I got pg with twins in the beginning.
We lost the one at about 10 weeks and we had to terminate our pg for the other baby at 19 weeks cause we had increased nuchal thickness..
now, the doctor told me that is more possible to get pg naturally caused I didn't have period for 5 months and thats good news..
anyway,thats all from me..

Sorry I've not been posting for a while, but I do come and see what you're all up to 
I can't write much now either cos we are off on our hols tomorrow (to a cottage in Somerset, with our scruffy dog and Si's bicycle) and I haven't even packed a thing yet 
We're still waiting to hear from the clinic about a donor - if you want to chat about anything to do with DE Emily, just ask  My herbalist has put me on agnus castus (plus the yukky herb liquid and some tea stuff - not sure how I'm gonna manage all them at the right times next week  ) - wonder what my Af will be like this month

Wiggy - glad to har you got the PT hours.  I'll be doing a AF dance for you so you can start IVF  .  Enjoy your hols 

Kate - I'm so sorry your having a crappy time.  I agree with Emily, your choc cysts should be scanned at least every 3 months.  Having said that, they do seem to leave them until they really bother you.  I have choc cysts on both ovaries and was also concerned about whether they needed treating prior to ivf.  I've seen 2 cons who both said they are small and will not affect the ivf.  I'm not sure what blood tests you have had.  If its the day 21 then I agree that it should be done on day 21 (thats if you have a 28 day cycle).  I fould the tests they did on the NHS very basic.  My day 21 test was done once on day 23 and indicated I was nt ovulating.  I was so upset, but the test is just a snapshot of what is happening that month and to get a proper picture it should be repeated at least twice.  Please dont upset about your young partner (I have one too  ).  He loves you and you are more important than how well your oavries/tubes are functioning.  I've gone through so many emotions about this issue and it seems we are stuck with our lovely partners as we have to give them credit for making the decision to be with us

Drew.....wishing u lots of for tomorrow or possibly today in ur case now because i know u r several hours ahead of us timewise

Jaq probably too late now but hope u have a lovely holiday, hope the weather is ok for u

We are taking a break in about 3 weeks, to coincide with my birthday and pre op pleasure, we are going to my parents caravan we are looking forward to it and are taking mother in law with us and of course our lovely doggie!!

For now though i plod along, pain in my left side has been worse this weekend, am trying to get on top of all the jobs that need doing around the place before the end of the month and today attempted mowing the lawn a stupid idea of mine, i missed several little bits but it looks okish

Got lot of pain in ovary area which has been radiating out to left hip, my af is due on tuesday and i look like a spotty teenager its been ages since i was spotty and i dont like it

Went for pampering on friday and had my hair cut and coloured it looks loverly not that i am biased but am really happy with it and i got some discount as well

I am off to bed shortly as working a full day tomorrow or will try but think i will do the full day wednesday as i want to pop to town tomorrow afternoon and need to pick up a prescription before my eczema drives me completely insane!!

Becca - Thanks for your message, I will need all the  I can get in the next month or so.  I even went to Avebury Stone Circle yesterday where my DH bought me a Celtic Rune necklace, which is supposed to promote good health and dispel negative energy, so heres hoping .  My fluffy dog enjoyed it too, especially the sheep poo

Drew - Best of luck with the egg collection  I am really feeling for you today and send you lots of  .  I will hopefully be getting my ec at the end of June, so lets hope it works for both of us

Emily - Thanks for your hugs and for keeping us all posted on where we are, can you update mine for next time, that I am started IVF (private) next month.

Hi to everyone else I have not mentioned.

I just want to rant I can't believe that I have already got my first bill from the Private hospital for my initial consultation and scan £200.00, I felt sick when I opened it, then I thought what will I be like when I the bill gets into its £0000,00, help   I still can't believe that the NHS would not accommodate me it makes me soooooooooo 

Anyway  better get on with some work.

I haven't checked the thread for a week and since theres been so many notes i can't keep up with everyones news Anyway hope you are all well. many of you seem to be going for appointments at the mo- wishing you loads of luck for these

Drew- hope the egg collection went well and wasn't too painful- fingers crossed for you

Channy and stella- welcome to FF. Hope you find the website as useful and supprtive as i do- looking forwrad to hearing your news

Jaq- know what you mean by the yukky brown herbs I've also been taking herb as part of my detox and sometimes there just sooo hard to take.

Well i've been on my detox for over 2 weeks now and its not to bad. I'm really craving sugar though and dream about chocolate and cakes all the time.  can't remember whether i've said but i have to take 13 tablets daily, 3 powders and 2 types of herbs!!! Mind you i had NO PMS this month and no spotting which i've had since my lap. Also i only had to take 3 loads of painkillers the whole of my AF- unbelievable

So i'm feeling pretty positive about the diet etc and keeping my fingers crossed that it will be worth it in the end. Mind you i got a phone message today from my naturopath who has asked me to call her because somethings come up in my blood tests.  I'm a bit worried especially as i usually catasphrohise(bad spelling!!) but i'm hoping its nothing big.

Hi everyone!
I'm new to this thread and finally plucked up the courage to venture here!
Had a lap this month and the was told I have endo at the pouch of douglas but don't know how much this is affecting my fertility and I have to wait for my gynae appointment in mid August- a fertility lifetime as far as I'm concerned.
Have painful periods but not heavy so I don't know what's going on. Am going to try some diet alterations. Just wondered if Chinese medicine was any good for symptom control and is it expensive?

I have also moderate endo in the pouch of douglas and didn't affect my lot during my first IVF.
Actually I had perfect responce, very good eggs and got pg at once.
I know evryone of us is different but I do hope for u to got pg easily.

I keep getting a pain in my leg.  My GP said it's nothing to worry about  and is probably sciatica.  I have nt been on pain killers for a while now so I guess I'm feeling every twinge.  I'm going in the bath now to ease it. 

Does anyone else have cold feet?

Thanks for your messages, Hope you are all well, i am reading the thread and trying to follow your stories, you are all so brave... to you all.

Well, i am very confused, after my last post was convinced dreaded AF was on it's way, all symptoms - pain etc, then nothing............ I haven't had AF for 3 months and then this, but then started playing tricks on my mind and i was convincing myself i was pg......i must be going mad.
I feel like the endo controls me at the moment!!!!
I still haven't decided about the pill yet, i think its because i dont really understand why i am taking it for the endo?!!

Chantelle, am really sorry to read that u have been waiting for af for 3 months, i kind of identify as my last one i had i had been waiting 14 weeks for 11 weeks it felt it was on its way, had all the symptoms and then they disappeared the day after it took me by surprise, have had symptoms for last 5 days and its due today but no af yet!!

It must be such a hard decision knowing what to do re the pill thing, have u tried posting a question on the ask a nurse thread??

Thanks so much Stella, Andrea and Emily for your replies. I feel a whole lot better knowing that I can converse with others in the same boat.
Am awaiting to hear from consultants secretary this week to see if I need surgery to conceive, if I don't I'll go private for IVF asap as due to my age I don't think I'll qualify for nhs funding.

HI Everyone,
Just a quick note as  have to get ready for work.  Got some of my blood test results back for my pre conception programme and i have very low thyroid hormone results.  I've to get another blood test to make sure then if its the same i've to go and see a specialist and will have to go on medication!!! Not panicking too much which is unlike me because i'm a stress bunny but was wondering whether anyone here has had this problem. The positive side to it is that it does affect your fertility so if it gets fixed things might start happening!!!!
