Hello all! New here and glad to find this site! Just read some past messages and like them! I wonder how many are in my (miserable) boat: over 40 and having endo for many years now? Has anyone heard of someone like me having a baby (with own egg)? My urgent decision is whether to start with IUI or IVF. I'm a little afraid of too aggressive medications. I was told that for women over 40 IUI has very little chance, but it's not 0, right? OK I'll stop here and hope to hear from you. Now I'm going to continue reading your wonderful messages....... Thanks! :)

Hi Adel

Under 40 but just as miserable I'm afraid! I'm in my 2ww from our 1st IVF. When I saw our specialists they advised us against IUI as my tubes are a bit of a mess too after years & years of endo.

Good luck with the tx

Hi Raggy,

Thanks for replying and the good wishes! I wish you best of luck, too! I see many abbreviations being used on these boards, many of them I can't figure out (e.g. ww. ttc.......). I can figure out 'DH' is for 'husband', but don't know where the 'D' came from? 'Darling'??? Is there a list of abbreviations somewhere on this site?

Very happy to have someone to talk to about these stuffs! Best,
Adel

Hiya adel

Just wanted to say hi ^wave^

I hope that u will find some gr8 support and advice here.

I have only been coming here since Janurary and have been made very welcome.

I am inbetween treatment at present.

I am sorry cant really answers ur question, but really wanted to wish all the best for whichever treatment you decide to go for.

I am almost 32, and think that ivf is probably my best option as dh has male factor infertility along with my endo probs and pcos and me only having one ovary and tube and the tube they are now going to remove as they think its blocked with endo.

Never give up hope hunny

best of luck in ur journey
