I am currently under a cons in N'pton, but not too keen on him as he doesnt specialize in endo, and at our last apptment he recommended 2/3 mths of zoladex before we re-start the ivf (have severe endo, hubbie has low motility and last ivf in Jan 05 was abandoned as a cyst had developed, personally i think i should have been monitored better).
I have read alot of this message board and it seems a lot of women recommend seeing an endo cons and have had excision surgery.  I am due to have 1st zoladex next week (but i would rather have surgery and then use the ivf as a last resort). I rang my cons secretary to try and discuss what i want to do, and was told that it wasnt my decision to decide if i had surgery or not and that if i wanted to discuss it further i would have to wait until next apptment 12th Oct! Obviously i am in a very bad dilemma because of starting the zoladex next week.  Have tried ringing Mr Ramsay at Care P'boro (he was recommended) but just an answermachine and no one has called back yet!!!
Dont know what to do.....................................................

Hi Coxy,

I have severe endo and have been refered to Oxford as I will pob need IVF but my infertility consultant has referred me to an endo specialist there as I have cysts on both ovaries that might need treating before I can start. She said if I see the endo specialist he can sort out the endo and then pass me on for IVF and as the units are near each other she said he knew about how to get me in the best shape for IVF. Hope this helps!!!!!!

Made sense to us as we will probably have to self fund so I really want to maximise our chances
