Its been really sad last few days to read of couple of ladies "false positives" & it just seems so unfair...ttc is emotional roller coaster enough without hopes being raised only to be dashed

Anyway, I'd never heard of a false positive before but I had heard of a chemical pregnancy (basically a very early m/c of which I've suffered a couple)....I had a little search on the net & found this info which you may find interesting...

Hi

I had a chemical pregnancy in January...I tested +ve with a CB digital when I was 2 days late, but 2 days later at the doctors (of all places) I got 2 -ves, and then had the m/c 2 days after that.

Not nice at all, and I felt so guilty for feeling the way I did, as if I was a fraud because my pregnancy wasn't medically recognized.  I'm sure the nurse thought I had made it up....
