Hi There, I'm new to the site and would be grateful for any info, here is my story in short:I got married and had my daughter when I was only 18, I did not have a good marriage, I was sterilized at 25, I am now 32 and remarried to a great guy. My husband has had a sperm test which came back normal, I then had an investigation done to see whether my sterilization could be reversed, but unfortunatly it can't, would IVF etc work? Has anyone else had the same problem? If so please let me know. Many Thanks
IVF is the ideal treatment for you! You know you can get pregnant because of your DD, but as the tubes are blocked we need to go round them and with IVF, putting embryos straight in the womb means your problem is overcome. Good Luck!
Hi Ruth
Many thanks for the reply, can you tell me anymore, e.g how succesful may treatment be in cases like mine e.g who have been previously sterilized.I am hoping to deal with the fertility clinic at Edinburgh royal infirmary.
Anyone who has been in my position, please let me hear your story.
Many Thanks
Denise
Success rates depend on the centre but I have heard anything from 30 to 50% quoted.
