hi

can anyone shed some light on this question for me??

I am aware that you are supposed to only give babies/children one portion of oily fish per week due to levels of chemicals, mercury etc etc, but can anyone tell me how much quantifies as a portion for a 10 month old.

is this a rule that all fish should be only eaten once a week at this age or just oily fish. i.e. how many times a week can cod be eaten or can it be eaten to their hearts content

look forward to your ansas

I can't tell you what constitutes a portion for a baby, it's maddeningly difficult to find out!!  but a portion for a toddler is 3oz.

my hv said a portion is the size of the baby's palm.  i only give fish once a week but that's only because that's how often i have it  :)  i just made the annabel karmel fish fingers and lo loves them to bits.  x
